I've no idea if this was an actual aircraft, or?
Interesting design.

I am pretty sure it is fictional based on a Microsoft game called, I think, Crimson Skies. It featured weird and wonderful aircraft and fighting airships.

I flew the heck out of the PC version of Crimson Skies and that wasn't in there.

Judging only by the comments on all the images it's a pure flight of fantasy design by the author.
He did pick a real world engine of course with the R-3350, but I think that is where the real stuff ends.
Just looking over the design I consider it implausible that the two small rudder surfaces could compensate the massive yaw induced by a three or four bladed prop swung by a 3000 HP plus Wright engine. Especially for takeoff you would be seriously limited to how much of that power you could unleash.
It does have a great menacing look though.

the MS PC game "crimson skies" ( and later Xbox game "crimson skies ; high road to revenge" ) were both based on a RPG/ tabletop strategy game .
this plane looks a lot like one of the designs created for the tabletop game and later used on the xbox game but cannot exactly remember the name of the plane though .

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I usually never read the fine print unless it's something I'm researching. The design, far too advanced for the era.

Crimson Skies was fun, but I think there was a Nvidia issue, so I had to leave it when I got a new computer.
