I was going to post this HERE (http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?61215-Swedish-P-51D-5-NA&highlight=swedish) but decided to start a 2nd thread, so that we could keep things fresh.

As posted earlier, I am working on a skin for the warbirdsim "Little Friends II", this being the only dorsal fin fillet-less D-5-NA mustang, used by the Swedish Air Force, and the Uplands Air Wing, stationed outside Uppsala, Sweden. This outfit designated F16 (Flygflottilj) used many mustangs, called the "J.26".

In the 8th AF, 44-13345, C5-I Bar, "Mary Ann" (http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=3&id=5161) of the 357th Fighter Group, 364th Fighter Squadron, was force-landed in Sweden Aug. of '44. It is what became "26003" 16 White "B" of F16.

This is a work in progress. Please let me know if you catch anything that's not right in the following screens. Jan has a layer for the Swedish stencils, which are yet to be applied, and I still have some touch-up work to do on the spec, and alphas.

Good job so far. :) Looking forward to fly some Mustangs from "söta bror", since we didn't fly any here in Norway.

Good-day,
This paint is now available in the library. Thank-you all for the support, and interest.

Special thanks to Jan Kees for his extra research, and also for providing me with Swedish stencils for portions of the aircraft.

Another is in the works...stay tuned!
