Is it possible to change the season in a mission.
For instance, if a mission runs in winter, can I change it to run in summer?

Yes, Just open the mission with the mission builder or notepad and change the date from a winter month to a summer month..
That all it takes..

To be specific,
In DPC Korea, I want to change the weather in the Squiffy Toko Ri mission. In this mission, it is winter white, 12/12/1951.

In the movie, it is not winter. the landscape is green.

After I change the date, the game freezes as soon as I click on Toko Ri to play. When I change the date back to what it originally was,
the game still freezes, I mean like a ctrl-alt-del freeze to get to my desktop.

I can delete the mission and reinstall it and all is ok.

I can change any other date in any other mission in DPC Korea and it plays perfectly so I am doing it right.

But I don't know the secret with the Squiffy Toko Ri mission.

The Read Only box is unchecked in Properties in all missions upon opening and I leave it unchecked before saving and exiting.

On March 9, 2009 Squiffy started a thread talking about the Toko Ri mission he is creating for DPC Korea.
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?12771-Toko-Ri-facility&highlight=mission+bridges+toko
This thread wound up being 6 pages long, just talking about 1 mission.
Isn't anybody here familar with the mission? Doesn't anybody play DPC Korea?
Even so, doesn't anybody have a clue with help to solve my problem?
I apologize for not asking for help with an ETO problem.

I don't play Korean Skys, but in reading the thread I noticed that he mentioned that he created or modified some facility files that were not normaly in the sim. Sometimes thoes files can be date specific as to when they will appear and work. In his modifications he may have put a narrow time frame in them.

Just my thought.

Owen has created many a mission and he thinks it is a simple matter. I wonder.
I would be very pleased if it was possible and I will accept the fact that my intentions are not possible.
But I would like an explanation either way and I think
The Dogpatch Crew and Squiffy would be respected if their work is granted some support like other expansions and missions are.

The author of this might be the one you need to talk to..

I rarely fly the DPC Korean expansion, with my other work in the ETO/PTO/RS/MAW expansions
just don't have the time to mess about with this DPC expansion much..

Try and find someone who has it working and ask them how they did it..
Best advice I can give on this..

When I advised the seasons change, this works for all other missions..
This one must have something special about it..

I tried to download this from SOH and got a corrupted file..No Go..

Wouldn't you think that
this is exactly what I am trying to do right now?

I can empathize, likewise, I just don't have the time to mess about with ETO. :icon_lol:

You can easily download The Bridges at Toko Ri mission pack from Squiffy's site = http://mysite.verizon.net/vzep0uti/id10.html
