We're lacking a lot of details such as the identity of the gunman, was he a student, did he know the officer, etc. I doubt that we'll have any substantive info before tomorrow sometime.

Last information I heard was the officer involved had stopped a car in a VA Tech parking lot. The gunman, who was not in the car, walked up to the officer and fatally shot the officer. The gunman then ran away and committed suicide. Very weird.

All local news outlets are stating the gunman was not a VA Tech student.

The gunman was not a student at VA Tech, but was a student at Radford University. He stole an SUV in Radford at gunpoint on Wednesday. Shot the officer on Thursday, fled, changed his clothes, then some time later shot himself. There is still no known link between the officer and the shooter.

No motive for this cowardly little piece of s--- , yet! This makes me sick to think the officer killed had five kids who won't be seeing their father this Christmas .

Services are 12/11/2011 in Christiansburg and 12/12 on the VT campus. My brothers and sisters of the PGR have been invited to help honor Officer Crouse. I wish I could make the ride, but six hours round-trip is a little much. If it's anything like the last police KIA burial I rode escort with, it will be an awesome sight.

Five kids lose their dad/step-dad because of this POS. Too bad he didn't see fit to kill himself before he murdered the officer. :mad:

It really makes you wonder what is in a child's head to walk up and kill a complete stranger just for the hell of it, then end your life. He was no dummy going to Radford University. According to some that knew him sometimes he would shave his head and run up and down the hallways, but that doesn't explain what he did.
