Hi All

I was wondering if I could delve into the outhouse's collective minds for ideas

I want to find a small airfield with a single runway for light aircraft and twins that can accept Warbirds and possibly small jets (L-39's, Jet Provosts etc), I'd like it to have a few hangers and other airport buildings but also one that doesnt use Photoreal textures on the airport base so that it blends in nicely with the default FS tile textures

Ive been out of the FS loop for almost a year and a half so any scenery that you can think of or use would be greatly appreciated

Matt :salute:

And where in the world would you like this airport, Diego Garcia? It's one runway and a few hangers. Should be able to handle your junior jets no problem, lol. If it doesn't matter where, try and get hold of some of the old Georender scenery, excellent little ranch strips in the States and oozing character. I found most of them second hand on ebay/amazon for very little bucks. They rate as some of my fav scenery for non military flying, but they should easily handle the smaller warbirds. Close to those are the Bill & Lynne golden nuggets, the one that comes with the twin piper thingy is possibly my fav or the one with the train (travelair?)

If your looking for something closer to home, the UK2000 scenery is good, I especially like the island airports, the channel islands (UK2000) and the highlands (Scotflight scenery).

Hamilton airport, Ravalli County in western Montana. Has a single paved runway, decent buildings, nearby smaller strips and fantastic Montana scenery all around. You can start with "2nd AG Advanced Training Base by LBMartin 2005" (2ndag_ravalli_6s5.zip) which has the goods for the airport as well as nearby training areas for helos and other goodies. There are other sceneries for the greater area including forestry outposts, remote helo pads, SAR adventures and more by other authors. I go there all the time.

Couple in Scotland that would fit the bill are Perth (Scone)

http://www.freewarescenery.com/fs2004/uk.html

and Fife (Glenrothes)

http://www.surclaro.com/fsdownload-detail-12850.html from here freeware by Alasdair Duncan;

(do not be tempted by the
payware by Aeroscene as their (Aeroscene) site is a scam under investigation by trading standards)

might be tight for a JP tho!

I've been searching up and down for a copy of Flyscenery.org's Tacoma Narrows as mentioned above. They've redone their site and it does not feature Tacoma Narrows any longer! Could someone send the file to me?

Send me a PM with your e-mail address; think I still have a copy backed up on disc somewhere
