Ok,

Rich Hogen uploaded some instructions for tweaking ARRCAB V2.6 to work properly with FSX Acceleration on AVSIM today. Got that file ok.

According to that pdf file, ARRCAB V2.6 is freeware, but where can I download it? Cannot find it!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Flightsim.com search for arrcab26.zip

http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kdl/main/58/arrcab26.zip?AmGRo00j

This was probably the last freeware version of this software. The rights were sold or the author is working with Abacus and all new version of this software are included in their Flight Deck products.

Let me correct you: arrcab was freeware up to 2.4, then went payware with 2.5 Abacus version, and now is freeware again in version 2.6. I let the exclusivity license with Abacus expire years ago. Arrcab is now freeware again and will remain freeware.

You can find arrcab26.zip on www.flightsim.com (http://www.flightsim.com). I originally uploaded it to avsim and simviation as well, but it's not there any more. Why they would remove it is beyond me.

I actually started wondering about that because of the release date on the 2.6 file :isadizzy:

Thank you I stand corrected.

Welcome back Rich! And thanks for your contributions to the FS community. I've probably done a hundred or so trap zones, and was asked just yesterday for a static carrier to trap with for multiplayer.

Best,

Jim

Download from Flightsim.com then read the "Readme" I believe that explains it better than I could.
