Like Topsy, it 'jus sorta grow'd. I think thats enough now. For up load purposes, what would be prefered. Individual paints, or the whole train wreck in a single zip? 26 repaints in all.
The last ones. Had to do some bare metal, and some RAF whatifs.5096850969509705097150972a scrap veiw of the TT Mk.IV50973

Loving these repaints, great stuff! :applause:

The Wyvern S4, for all it's undeniable faults, was apparently well liked by its pilots & a very stable gun platform; at Suez it was the close support aircraft of choice, the ground troops much preferred to see this rather than a Seahawk streaking over them at speed. Back in the dim distant mists of time I modified & painted a Novo Wyvern as a Royal Navy "Sandy", something I suspect it could have done rather well.

Thanks everyone. Uploaded to the library. More still pending, but later. Whole bunch of ideas and profiles to go through yet. Too bad the Wyvern 'just missed being great'.

Looks awesome Laz,

I'm hoping the smoke/grime I saw on the later paints was applied to the early ones - it looks really good!

Bravo, mate!

Thanks DL. Mix and match. Some are grubby, some shiney. I like shiney aeroplanes, though I guess some dirt can be thrown on. Win7 paint and DXTBMP. The latest paint has some nice bush and pencil settings to tackle dirt. Its easy to do, just like putting a wash on a model.

They don't seem to be working for me. Any one else having this issue or know what might be causing it?

One of the normal original Wyverns's

New Wyvern texture. I have only put 3 extra liveries in but they all do this.

Running FSX Acceleration.

Mine did the same, when i checked the texture.cfg file in the texture folders the first line said "fallback.1=..\sharedtextures" which is a folder i didn't have in the original Wyvern download i had a texture.1 folder so changed the line to "fallback.1=..\texture.1" and copied to all texture folders everything now shows OK.
(Although with hindsight it would have been easier to have just changed the folder name!!!)

Texture config file. Uh-oh. Is the Wyvern set up in shared texture format, or did I modifiy my install at some point in the dim distant past and forget. Look in a default texture folder for the texture config file, open it, and compare it against the repaint texture config. Also look for a texture file in the main folder labeled 'sharedtextures'. I think thats the way it was formated from the installer. If not, yah, do the mod to the texture config. Or, make a folder named 'sharedtextures', move all the textures from the 'texture' folder except 'Fueslage' dds, 'Tail'dds, and 'Wings'dds over to the sharedtexture folder, remove the redundant textures from the other texture folders, and copy the texture config from a new repaint to each of the default repaints. Keeps the installs down to managable sizes. The Wyverns been in my FSX for so long, I've forgoten what it was formated like.

Yep, that did the trick. What I did was make a copy of the texture1 folder called is sharedtextures. :)

They speak Luxemburgian, of course :icon_lol: - but most people over there also speak French, English and German.
May be that's the reason Luxemburg is home for many Europeann organizations.

Also known as "Lėtzebuergesch" a strange German dialect (But don't say that to a native!).
