It is with deep regret i must inform you of the loss of another great in the FS Community...

In case you haven't heard, Leif Harding (RyDraggioch) has passed away. I don't know any details yet, but there is a posting on his Facebook page by his wife Stacey. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.

last spoke to him a few days ago and he seemed his usual self, he'll be greatly missed by myself... always enjoyed talking British aircraft with him,

Leif had time for anyone and everyone, always willing to lend a hand in collecting info etc...

so it is with a heavy heart i fear we must say "Farewell, friend, blue skies and fair winds, see you in the future", needless to say my thoughts and prayers go out to his Family in these darkest of hours...

A very sad day. In all my dealings with Leif he was never anything less than a true gentleman, patiently answering even my most stupid question.

My thoughts are with his wife and family, and with Rob and all of the guys at Britsim who worked so closely with him. He will be sorely missed.

It's with the deepest sadness that I must confirm the report to you of the sudden and untimely death of my good friend Leif Harding aged 58.
Better know here perhaps as RyDraiggoch, he was the front man on our site at BritSim.com.
His enthusiasm for all thing flightsim was well known and his willingness to answer the many queries etc. in his own special manner allowed the rest of we developers there to get on with our work in relative peace.
Rest in peace Leif.

What an absolute loss to the community. I'm so disheartened to hear of Leif's passing. He assisted me several times over the years, and was always friendly and eager to assist. Such a tragedy. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I'm stunned by this sad, sad news. I didn't know Lief personally and haven't been involved with SOH or BritSim for long but I do know he had a tremendous impact and influence in the Flight Sim community. My sincere condolences to his family and friends both here and abroad.

I didnt like Lief. like all humans he had his share of faults and some of them rankled me interminably, but, there is no doubting his contribution to the flight sim community, and the generosity of his heart. May he rest in peace, out of pain.

O Spirit Whom the Father sent
To spread abroad thy firmament,
O Wind of Heaven, by Thy might
Save all who dare the eagle's flight,
And keep them by Thy watchful care
From every peril in the air!

Aloft in solitudes of space,
Uphold them with Thy saving grace.
Thou Who supports with tender might
The balanced birds in all their flight.
Lord, if the tempered winds be near,
That, having Thee, they know no fear.

Lord, guard and guide the men who fly
Through the great spaces in the sky.
Be with them always in the air,
In darkening storms or sunlight fair;
Oh, hear us when we lift our prayer,
For those in peril in the air!

So long pard.

Leif and I crossed swords a few times but his enthusiasm and loyalty for Britsim and their contributors was unfailing.

It's with a heavy heart and deepest regret that we have to announce the death of Leif.
As the front man of this site, he was alway there to help queries and reply to comments in his own enthusiastic personal manner.
Behind the scenes he was always there to inspire and cajole us to greater effort.
He leaves a wife and son.
His absence from the FlightSim community will be greatly missed, no more so than amongst us who counted him as our good friend.
Rest in peace Leif ..

I merged the thread with the one that was put up this weekend.

Best to have them all in one place.
