Make sure you watch a takeoff and landing from the passenger seat :wavey:

Or sit back there and relax when the autopilot is engaged :mixedsmi:

The B717 , the Hawker 850xp ,the 727, and the Citation X (Not the 500) are not true models .

Gents, any chance for the layered paintkit, please ? I would like to create few schemes.

Well done - as a Mechanic for Mesaba Airlines , I Have a very intimate knowledge of ship N446XJ - not gonna complain about minutia in the VC - it is close enough and works fine for me . gonna need that re-paint kit - since we are now wholly owned by Delta and an aggresive repaint program is scheduled to be completed over the next 1.5 years in delta connection colors -
Thanks again

Yeah.. After having built a few.. I have a theory about VCs. It's all or nothing. You either go all out for ridiculous realism .. or you go for flyability and functionality.

A near 100% accurate VC isn't practical for simming. It's too complex and too "busy" to be managed from a 2-D monitor and one mouse pointer. Not to mention beyond a freeware investment in man hours. To make one, on my own, it would be a project all unto itself, and take 5 times as long to model, as the model itself.

Going for something beyond functionality, but still falling short of 100% realism, ends up looking (and functioning) worse than either.

I shoot for getting the general dimensions close.. the "feel" of the cockpit, and making sure the most used systems are just that.. useable. Not to mention that a fully realistic VC would bring even high-end computers to their knees..

Thanks for the kind assessment :wiggle:

Thanks Brett for a very nice plane.

Great looking exterior, functional VC, nice rear cabin views.

Love the front door and stair extension sequence. Very well done.

The sounds are particularly nice. Going thru the sound file list I noticed the belly and wing scrape sounds. Those passenger screams are certainly appropriate. Found these sounds without belly landing or wing scrapes,.. honestly.

I see the Tom Cruise pilot is not wearing his eye patch promoting his latest movie, Valkyrie.

The model is great! I wonder if there is any chance of it turning into one of these:
