Quick question, does the Mig 17 also work in FSX with Acceleration?

Nice surprise, I haven't flown the Mig-15 in quite awhile so good reason to get back into it. I did do some weeding out though and kept only 8 of the 40+ liveries.:salute:

Downloaded and reinstalled Sp4 Mig-15 is it is very nice. I checked the model and it is 100% FSX Native. It runs smooth as glass in the sim. The only issue I am having is that there is something odd about the pitch trim. I get it set and all of the sudden it begins to pitch up slowly and uncommanded. Seems like the very first pack of this Mig-15 in FS9 had that issue which they fixed with the following packs. Will see if I can get to the bottom of it. Otherwise, it's solid performer and looks great.

Yep, I also noticed that. Spent most of a 280nm flight just trying to get it to fly straight and level.

Yeah Falcon, same here. Bad part is I deleted my old previous Mig-15 installers. I think I have them backed up on a CD but not in the mood to go hunting all that down tonight. I just tried to adjust the trim settings in the cgf file but no luck on smoothing it out. It's got to be something screwy in the airfile and perhaps CG & other entries in the cfg file.

Another problem has to do with the AP. Even though the aircraft.cfg and airfile both show an active AP, the aircraft is unable to maintain a set altitude and heading. The Heading is especially weird because even if I set the aircraft on a heading and activate the AP, it will begin a slow rocking motion, first to one side and then the other as though it's searching for some unknown position. It never settles into a heading, it just continues to rock back and forth, 20deg to one side and then back 20deg to the opposite side for as long as the flight lasts. Also, there are a few gauges that if you run the cursor over them show deviations consistent with the flight, but are not animated.

Out of curiosity, before I approach the developer - did anyone ever find a resolution to the odd pitch instability with SP4? If you watch the elevator trim control on the starboard side of the panel in the VC, you'll see the pitch trim wheel automatically moving to "supplement" any elevator control inputs you make. This seems to be the cause of the pitch instability. It seems to cease "supplmenting" once the airspeed gets below 200 knots or so. I'm guessing this might be a gauge-driven issue...but I'm not sure. Never happened with any previous versions.

Seems not to have been corrected as it's still evident, even after uninstalling what I had and doing a fresh install last evening.:salute:

Thanks, Falcon. I actually had a little spare time today and decided to toy around with SP4. I think I've cured the issue of the pitch instability, but I need to test it a little more to make sure I didn't inadvertently eliminate any other functionality.

There's a specific gauge .cab file with SP4 titled "J5Logics". Within this .cab file there is an XML titled "Int_Logics_J5.xml". Sure enough, within that XML file there's a callout for elevator autotrim....titled "Auto Trim Computer". I edited the XML to eliminate that section, and viola!...no more annoying pitch instability! So far, it doesn't seem to have caused any adverse affects to the other systems (including the autopilot).

Nice, where I can download this?

I noticed small bug with wing's pylons in last SP5 (see here):

http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/2424/enb20121117221356.th.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/827/enb20121117221356.jpg/)

Its a weapon station, but I think its good idea to create this part transparent. If You use external tank You will see two different pylons so its a small bug.

Just VC could be better.
About 3D Redux lights - here its a little difficult. Its possible but perhaps switches on VC dosent work good. I checked Today, model uses scripts now for this, not like default FSX aircraft.

I guess I'm either missing something or I'm looking in the wrong places. :isadizzy:

I really fly the Bear Studios Mig-15 and -17 a lot, and really like Zsolt's repaints. Although the repaints are for FSX, they convert nicely into FS9. :salute:

Anyways, I have all of Zsolt's repaints that have been posted on Flightsim.com, but based on some of the screenshots in this thread there appear to be a few more.. somewhere. Or am I mistaken? :ques:

I haven't heard from Zsolt, so I can't confirm if there are more Mig repaints coming or not. Just thought I'd ask to see if anyone knows the answer, or maybe Zsolt can respond.

Thanks in advance.
.. and Merry Christmas...
