If Ickie didn't remove old posts, you'd see I said that when the mere mention of her coming to NASCAR broke out. But like Kyle, it bring wimmin and it brings $$$, NASCAR will sleep with anyone for that.

That said, if she could learn to save her brakes on a road course, she might learn how to drive one. She did okay in Montreal until she lost here brakes.

I'm with you and Kyle Petty. And as I've said before, my perspectives are based upon her IndyCar career. In IndyCar, she's been with top teams yet she still has a mediocore record at best. However due to the hype, you'd think she's 2-time champion & Indy 500 winner! :isadizzy:

But,
She may prove us all wrong - she does have good coaching going for her in NASCAR...

Every proferssion develops, over time, a cynical "provincialism" and distrust of "outsiders". This is just NASCAR "snobbery" from one (Kyle Petty) who also didn't exactly set the NASCAR world on fire himself. He may be right, but it's an easy prediction to make, and worth a bunch of headlines. I hope she does well and prooves them all wrong.

The best thing she's got going for her right now is her attitude & tutorledge...The question is how far that will go before talent has to kick in :ques:

Allmendinger looks to be on solid ground but Speed is out....Franchitti didn't make it BUT I go back to previous comments I made about the Ganassi team never being strong since it's inception.... so Franchitti arguably had tougher odds....

Guess I need to add Hornish Jr. to the "failures" list....:isadizzy: Now which team NASCAR is better (Ganassi or Penske) tough to say but I lean towards Penske...

The moral is, Danica's IndyCar career compared to Montoya, Franchitti, Hornish Jr., and Allmendinger is abysmal. Which means that she has some tough odds to face in NASCAR.

Don't believe, then have a lookee at Logano's interview today prior to the race and you'll hear him admit how difficult it was for him..

But, I could be wrong...:)

Yep, it will be difficult for her, if her record both in Indy cars and NASCAR is anything to go by. But cynicism often comes under the disguise of wisdom and “all knowing”, but it's still just cynicism. She's going to be driving for Dale Jr., right? Well, he knows at least as much as Kyle Petty about what it takes to be successful in NASCAR, but seems to have a more positive “mental attitude” about it than KP does, and has more to loose too... The idea that she will fail in NASCAR because she will get tired half way through the season is just plain silly, and reveals more about KP than it does Danica. :)

Pettys ?? I doubt Danica will ever approach the Kings standing in the sport but it would not be that difficult for her to meet or surpass Kyle! I remember Richard saying long ago, "that kid needs to decide if he wants to pick a guitar or drive a car, you can't do both and do it right." The guitar may have been a better choice.

Rather like when Dale Sr. said about Jr. "If that kid would get his ass out of bed in the morning he might amount to something". He was a little hot under the collar that morning!

when and if the announcement is made and she does make the move,,she should be driving for Jr motorspurts ..and that fact alone will make her a instant winner right? huh? right? its JR ferchristsakes...JR....shes got to win if dale jr is involved cause we know he is a winner,,and nascar should make everyone move over and let her march to the front,,just like they do jr!!!!
