It's all about me today :icon_lol:!!!!! After a fun week of Daughter being in Hospital having early labor contraction (baby not due till mid Oct). I started my vac today and heading down to Boeing airport to watch the air show. Usally I take differnt family members every year to this event and they love it. Cool to see the blue angel team in action getting into their aircraft and starting those puppies up. Looking so forward to this. So I will be heading down solo with scanner in hand to see if I can listen to them as well. Wife is staying home (I love my wife) with daughter since she is on bed rest until further notice so baby stays put. Well, its time to :running:.

Still Smiling, what a blast!!!! Never get tired of the energy around an airshow. I am back but really enjoyed the show with all the rest of the folks. Even met a fellow flight addicted simmer parked next to me. For those who don't know about this event, I am at the Boeing airfield and the actual air show is over Lake Washington with the hydroplanes races. Today is qualifying rounds and the actual race is tomorrow for the hydro's. None of the family could make it up this year so I am watching it on tv otherwise I would have been down there enjoying the sounds of turbines all around me. A few pics of the crowd and look, even the train guy stoped his engine and watched the show...lol. His hands our hanging out the window:icon_lol:. cool...got more?...looks like fun

i couldnt understand why a "train" would stop and watch...then i noticed it was just a power set prolly on a powermove (helper set, returning?) so he had time to park it for a minute...notice there are no trailing cars...just three power units...

My picture taking ability this day could not keep up with the planes. The glare of the sun blinded my little monitor so I did not know what I was even taking pictures of until I got home. Just pointed camera in direction of plane and hoped they would be in there....OUCH. In fact I wanted to catch the Blue Angels-Awesome Landing Order Maneuver at the end of the show and only saw clouds and blue sky in my video. Now that realy sucked :isadizzy: . Oh well, guess I have to go back next year and try again. Ya the train guys were going back and forth on the tracks working until the blues came out, then they enjoyed a break then back to work. Funny with all the engine noise from planes and the train engine behind us really gave us a good vibration.

When I was living up there back in the mid 90's I saw them perform once over Elliot Bay and once over Lake Washington. The show on Lake Washington was really fun!
