Hi,
as some know here I work on the FSX Solomon 1943 update now daily. Today I got a nice reply to a mail I wrote to Virtavia regarding the use of the old Alphasim FS9 aircraft as converted static models for the scenery. The answer was a generous "yes" and I'm really happy about that!
These aircraft make splendid static models. I convert them to static scenery, with native FSX properties (dds textures, draw call optimized for performance) and can even display them with doors open or closed, flaps down or not and so on in different versions. As of now I converted around 80 aircraft (Alphasim and others) of US, japanese or british origin that fit into the era. Finally the airfields can be populated properly now.
Thanks, Virtavia!
