:salute:Bob & the team have done it again, a twin release of the Casa C-295M AND the C-295MP MPA variant!

http://www.premaircraft.com/CASA295/index.html

Thanks guys, fills a massive gap on my flightline that has been annoying me for an age! :applause::applause::applause:

Darn if that C295 Mp was the shorter C235 you'd have the USCG HC144. Either way thank you goes out to PAd for filling that hole in the sim. CASA's are a wonderful fixed wing in SAR and compliment the C130J.

They're good for tactical drops too!

Me too, that was my biggest gap.

CG_1976, yes that would be lovely (although I was thinking more of the gap in my Irish skies). Well. we can only hope I guess.

Thanks for the prop tex, Mike. :ernae:
I am askeered just to unzip the whole bit to the FS9 directory... I crashed an install of FS9 a while back in so doing. Do you REEEALY have to unzip the pack directly into the FS9 directory to get the model to work properly??

/QUOTE]

Well, if you REEEALY know what you're doing you can unpick the zip and install it any way you like but newbies and others who are not confident with FS file manipulation are strongly advised to follow the instructions. It's quick, it's easy and all the files go to where they are supposed to.

Thanks Bob...:ernae:

I had originally upacked the model just to have a look, and...when I read the read-me, it sounded deadly specific about it.

I hope to have a go with her this afternoon some time, the wife has me planting trees at the moment....:a1089:

So what's next from PAD Bob? And can we hope to see the CN-235 family at some point in the future?

Us Coasties would love a CN235 aka a HC144 PAD built:salute:.

Well, firstly thanks to you guys for your kind reception of our C-295.

We had not considered the CN-235 but the 295 release has thrown up so many requests from all over the world for a 235 that it merits going on the list of future projects. But it can't be for a while as 2011 is pretty well booked up.

For our next project we're going back to regional jets and we've chosen the Fokker F-100. The work on this is now fairly advanced.

Bob.

Yes sir... The folks at PAD really did a nice job on the C-295M and MP. I know absolutely nothing about this plane but have found the PAD model to be a wonderful flyer and a definate keeper. The VC is exceptionally nice. :applause::applause::applause:

Fine pics Mike and thank you for the props. Would any of our fine painter's care to whip up a fictional CN295MP in USCG scheme assigned to Air Station Traverse City MI Dist 9 please.

Yes, thanks for the props Mike.

Regarding the USCG paint, I'm hoping that PAD release a paintkit ofr this little beauty, as there are a few repaints that would be nice to see (and I'm still studying Smoothie's lessons in more detail before I attempt my own!!) - if they do then I'm sure this scheme is not out of the question.

We're currently working on the AEW version of the 295MP, with the big rotating dish on top, which only exists in one prototype at the moment. I believe it had it's first flight last week.
The CG repaint is not out of the question, I was rather hoping that some re-painter would do it. It would just be a HC-144 livery transposed on to a 295, not authentic but better than nothing.

USCG:salute: Now the AEW does have my curiousness. Also on the C295 Canada's Armed Forces are tinking with the idea of a C295 Vs the C-27. At this point the C-27 is leading candidate unless Viking pitches a spoiler.
