Price is a little steep (little?) but what a fantastic way to get a feel for what went before us. I flew 14 hr barrier flights on wv-2's in the sixties, and when I look back at the radar gear I worked on and the systems we had then compared to what we have now, I am astounded. Back then It was real hands on. Can not imagine what the aircrews in ww2 went through. I have been on board b-25's and b-17's and they were cramped. Of course when I went through the 17 I was 64 so did not bend in the right places anymore.

I'm still trying to find the $12,000 for the F-4 ride a long. So unfortunately nope. Man there is just not enough money to do cool stuff sometimes. It is great these guys keep offering these oppertunities to people. Even if the prices seem high. I am sure the cost of maintaining the aircraft, and the gas alone is probably a lot too.

We have an organization up here in Michigan called the Yankee Air Force Museum and they have a b-17 and a b-25 that they offer rides in last I checked the cost was $400for one and $500 for the other. I see them overhead in the spring and summer quite a bit. They came back from Selfridge Air Force base one summer the 17 was first in sight but the 25 came screaming along and overtook the 17 just past my place. Quite a sound and sight

Considering, it is kind of cheap,(well kind of) my wife wants to book her brother on the 17, and for me, she said to lend him my camera!!! Now is she cheap or what? Since I am not read to die I will refrain from answering that!
