Great video Mark!
Thanks Roger. I messed the thread title up - it was supposed to say 'BN-2 bushwhacking', but instead it's a bit vague :( Can you fix it?

The Mountain Air colours caught my eye - I'm an infrequent visitor here - and I stayed the almost 10-minute distance with the clip!
The Kiwi Islanders are sort of shuffled around the place between operators, and I flew aboard that one some years ago looking for whales off Kaikoura (with some pretty green-looking children). The Islander is pretty basic, and also easy to clean, thank goodness...
Orbx does a good job on the scenery, eh?
Excellent video, job very well done.

Very nice video, interesting, and very smooth video presentation.
That F1 Islander is amazing to fly, as forgiving as my A2A J3 from a handling perspective.
How'd you bring up the Garmin 295? I've only been able to call up the Islanders GPS which has been a bit more challeging for me to learn.

You just need to edit panel.cfg (sorry, I said 'aircraft.cfg' in the video) to add a 2D panel definition. You can copy it from one of the default planes. Here's the entry from the default Extra:
[Window02] <---you may need to change this number
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=545,354
position=8
visible=0
ident=GPS_PANEL
window_size= 0.500, 0.362
window_pos= 0.000, 0.000
gauge00=fs9gps!gps_295, 0
Hope that helps.
Hi Mark,
Does the BN-2A have switches and lever that make a sound when you click on them, like the DC-2 Uiver?
Craig - Nice review BTW - Very informative :salute: :-)

Yes, all the operable switches and levers have very high-quality sounds. There are also some alternative sounds effect files to substitute for the background whine of the gyro instruments. I think this is because the volume of these effects is independent of the FSX sound controls, so you can't trun them down manually.

A nice to watch and informative video. What´s the scenery in the take-off scene?

First takeoff is from Clam Harbor, my current favourite airfield. It's part of Orbx's Orca's Island scenery. The later takeoff/landing is from Israel's Farm.
