what does it cost when a nuclear reactor is compromised?

when will people start to realize that clean energy means energy that has no lethal side effects...solar power, wind turbines and the like are clean and renewable - those are the lines we need to stay within..otherwise we're just killing this place

Its not actually radioactive. It produces mild Gamma radiation during the heating process, but its barely detectable and behind a thin sheet of metal, like lead or something. The fuel is the size of a liter bottle of Pepsi.

The cool thing, is that it produces Copper... "Fusion" means that it creates or joins (fuses) elements together and heat is produced in the process. You then need a heat exchanger to create electricity from, or make it a great heater (and copper maker) for a large home or building... ;)

Basically, he has made a heater, and copper creator.

Now, how do you make gold!?

Side note; The fuel cell is quite similar. It takes Oxygen and Hydrogen and creates (fuses) together to create water. The 'exhaust' or fuel is sheading electrons which is the 'production of electricity' which occurs when the process happens. No nuclear waste is produced...


Car batteries work like a reactor though, like a acid / lead liquid battery (typical) which erodes (fission, fissure, tare down) the elements which brake down and shed off electrons, again thus causing the creation of electron flow or electricity. Again, no nuclear waste. ;) No radiation either, as its such a slow conversion process..

There is an industrial project for Athena (Defkalion Green Technologies)
with a 1MW plant made of 100 Catalyzers mounted in parallel. The reactor
is a bit dangerous because it must be confined in a lead shield to prevent
from Alpha and Gamma rays, but no particles are emitted. My information
tells about few hours to stop completly the reaction, it is not a single switch
ON/OFF process... Nickel is toxic especially in powder as it is used in the E-Cat,
it's seems risky to try building one for our own... but it could throw the 40 years
old uranium boilers into the horrors museum.

Sure there will be no more healthy power plants than wind or solar farms,
but each solution is one more step against CO2 emissions and the nuclear
pollutions...

I read that only a small percentage of the nano-powdered nickel is atcually used in the reaction. I wonder if the remaining nickel can be recycled for use in the next reaction... such a thing would be quite efficient if true.

It does seem ironic if this is a path to safe and inexpensive energy for the future... coming from the world's oldest university. :icon_lol:

No reputable science team has been able to replicate the original experiment in which Cold Fusion was first hypothesized in 1989 by Pons and Flieschmann. Their results were eventually attributed to errors in the experiment.

This despite millions of dollars and repeated attempts and even with continual U.S. Gov't funding to the Navy's SPAWAR.

Like Pons and Flieschmann, this Italian team has refused to release their results to peer review.

So, don't get too excited......

Their unit is patented and secret. The unit works in front of audiences. Its a functioning system. I can see why they want to keep certain components of this thing a secret. Its their future.

Well, in a sense Lionheart is right and he makes a good point.

However, its also correct that this has been used to bilk money from people before (U.S. Gov't included, so folks are in good company), and if we remember the scientific method:

Experiment
Analysis
Conclusion
Validation/Partial Validation
Result

Cold Fusion can't get past the Analysis stage, because no one can repeat the experiment. If the Analysis is not subject for review, then the experiment cannot be repeated. Kind of a "Do Loop" going on there....

We'll see. I wouldn't invest my money though.

I'm not going to say stuff like this is impossible, but as the old saying goes if it sounds to good to be true it probably is.. Plus if these things existed you could bet your hind end that tomorrow there would be regulation either making them rediculously expensive, or outlawing them altogether. Or charging your some special use tax like they want to do with my hybrid vehicle cause of the loss in taxes/corporate profit.

Interesting list of "suppressed" devices. The only one of which I have direct knowledge is the TENS (#11) device. My late brother had one that he used quite successfully to supress pain in his back. I may still have the unit somewhere around the house, but I haven't actually looked for it yet...

I use a TENS device now, one being prescribed to me for Lower Lumbar Spinal Stenosis (which is a fancy way of saying a bad back). While not life threatening, the condition is (at times) exceptionally painful.

The TENS is a temporary fix however. It does not correct the problem, and only works for a short period of time. Combined with the prescription meds, and an ice pack, I can usually get to the point where I can get to sleep without too much trouble.

Most of these so called "suppressed inventions" are not really suppressed, just not what they claim to be.

I think stuff like that is probably fiction. Like the water car (even though you can split water to make it work, it takes a lot of energy).. Cannot deny things like Chevron/Texaco patenting the battery technology co-developed with Toyota and forcing them to quit making the Rav 4-EV batteries. Those have become quite a curiosity in recent years with one selling on e-bay here just a couple months ago. Granted I don't think these vehicles would have survived on the free market anyway without massive losses to the manufacture. People just simply couldn't afford to pay what the vehicles were worth. Regardless they would have eventually paved the way to cheaper EV's. I must say while I do not believe all conspiracy theories. There are a few stories like that to make the eye brows raise every now and again.
