Taco, just an FYI in case you didn't **** (:)) you have to start from an airport not on the required airport list (your choice which one), so that you may make a required landing at each airport on the list.

Well, after a fairly good nights rest we are taking off from here AYKV to AYTK.:running: We will be flying hot rumors of unknown subs in the area!

:wavey:Howdy,

Hey, we made a safe landing at AYTK, but will need to spend some time here for some minor repairs. To me, looks like someone took a pot-shot at me Turkey (picture of fire and smoke coming from the engine). other than that a very nice flight, and again the weather, what can I say, it was NICE.

Well it was a good flight over to CPG landed safe and sound. Ah...still haven't seen any female types in grass skirts, now the CO promised there would be, but you know I don't think he was telling me the truth. hehe.:kilroy:

One nice thing the boys over at Rabual told me if I get bored turn to this frequency and get some nice sounds, well, I got to listen to Mr. Glenn Miller band for a short time.

:applause:Hey about this! Landed at AYGR safe and sound, I think.

Well, sure looks like we have a welcome committe this time. A jeep load of heavy brass is coming our way, I told Dudely, I think we are in a world of do-do for buzzing the tower at AYGR on take off. But our luck is still holding no repercussion for our buzzing. All they wanted was to know if our ship has any problems, and if not we will be refueled as soon as possible, and we will need to take off right after the refueling is complete. Looks like there is some submarine activity down along the coast. In fact, they gave us a couple of depth charges!....Yipes!

Taco
May 1st, 2011, 17:02
:salute:We were just about ready to fire up for takeoff from AYGR to AYGM when we got word that the submarine problem has been eliminated. It seen that the submarine turned out to be a pod of whales! Didn't know there were whales this far south, oh well, they removed the two depth charges, and now no boom!

Taco
May 1st, 2011, 18:09
Well, we have landed at AYGN. All in all the flight was uneventful at best, no submarines, no whales. Only thing the bloody weather, darn it couldn't make up it's mind what to do.
It's time for the Turkey to be serviced, so we will spend the night here. Nothing here to write home about, so I think theres no way we could get into any trouble here with the local folks. hehe

Taco
May 2nd, 2011, 05:45
:salute:Howdy, the Turkey has been seviced, and a few minor problems have been fixed and she has been refueled. By the way, we didn't get into any trouble last night! We were just "Quiet American" which more than likely surprised anyone. OK on with business.

:wiggle: Again we landed safe! Landed at AYPY.

Just got parked and this here Army type person came over to us and told us we were to stand down by order of the local CO. As it was explained to us, there is an outfil up in the highlands that need some supplys. So, we volunteer, as this here Sergent told us! Now isn't that just like the Army. So we are standing down, and watching these Army types loading some strange looking stuff into the bomb bay. Who know when we will taking off again.

:salute:As we were drinking our coffee and trying to look like we were enjoying it and the satle donuts, crying out loud, these donut must have came over here on a slow boat to China or someplace!

So incomes this here shavetail walks over to us, now we are trying to smile about the coffee etc so he would notice. Well, leave it up to the Army, plans changed again. It seen a C-47 is due in at Nadzab AYNZ and he can make it up to that outpost faster than we can, so they are unloading our plane, and now our orders are to go straight to :kilroy:Gusap.

Taking off from AYPY to GSP

:applause:Landed at GSP.

Well, here we go. Dudley brought some of those blasted donuts from the Army at Port Morseby and was trying to sell them to Military personal here as hockey pucks, but they kept trying to tell him that there was no ice to play hockey on. Knowing Dudely he kept telling them that if might freeze and they should be prepared! But alas, no sell, but he dog gone near got us whipped by few of the mud marines! You know those boys can't take a joke very well.

Taco
May 4th, 2011, 06:02
:wavey:

Hey there!

Darn, we have been grounded for a day or so, because of some heck of rainstorms. The field is so muddy you can hardly walk on it without sinking up to your ankles. We were requested to come over to operations at 0900 something about a special mission up to Wewak (AYWK). :salute:Wow! It’s sure nice of the Army to request us. Hehe. Anyway, all kidding aside, the mission is to transport this civilian to Wewak, and we were told that the reason was on a need to know basics. OK, we have no problem with that. Now this civilian was something else, actually, a local native dressed in army duds. He sure is a scary bugger the mud marines told us to be careful this fellow maybe a cannibal! That’s all we need, I don’t believe them I think they are just trying to get back at us for trying to sell those donuts for hockey pucks. Anyway, the Mud Marines helped us get the Turkey over to the runway thru the muck! Going to be one hellva a takeoff!

Taking off from GSP to AYWK

Taco
May 4th, 2011, 07:39
:wiggle:landed at AYWK, Wewak, orders over the radio, "Do not, I repeat, Do not exit the runway until you see the jeep with the "follow me" sign." Ok, so here the jeep with the sign and some MP's with some big guns. All this over one native in army duds! Speaking of our passenger, Dudely said he was doing OK until we fired up the engine and then his eyes got big as dinner plates. Don't think he has ever flown before. Dudely mentioned that on takeoff he thought the bugger was going to pass out! Anyway he settled down for most of the flight. But he sure didn't waste any time leaving the plane after we stopped and the hatch was opened. hehe

Not far out of GSP we picked up an escort, which we didn't know about, a couple of Army Air Corp P-39s. Of course, though the whole flight these jokers kept giving us a back time about the TBF, you know, What keeps it in the air, how does it fly, can't it go any faster etc. But old Dudely and I gave back as well as we recieved!

Holy Cow! We just got some new orders, it seen we are to proceed on up toward WAJJ. YUK! Hopping for a few days of R& R. Wow! But a least we will be carrying a full load of bombs. According to CO there is some strange activity up north and along the coast. My mutual friends from those little islands off the coast of Korea are getting ready for something. Now this was real nice of Operation Officer, gave us the OK to attack any target of opportunity. Darn, that was sure nice of him. One Turkey against the whole, whom ever, Army and Air force!!! Don’t these people realize that some of these folks maybe using real booolets! I guess this is why we get the big bucks, hehe!:kilroy:

Howdy all!

Well heck, we landed at WAJJ,( in the water! Check one of the pictures posted and it show the bloody runway in the water. When we got to where it showed up in the picture there was only water, so what heck we landed.)

Something I forgot to mention, we got a third crewman, not by choice, but by orders! Gee, this Chief is older than dirt, he must be a least 35 years old. Now here is the best part, He told not to call him Dad, pappy, or the old man, and if we did he would kick our buns from here to next Sunday, so on this flight we just called him Chief. As it turns out he will be with us until, who knows.

Really didn't see much out of the ordinary, with the exception of a couple of barges. We dropped down and took a few pop-shots at them the last we seen of them were people jumping over the sides. Lots of fire. Later on we seen a fighter up about 11000 feet, I sure thought maybe our shooting at the barges may have got them kind of upset, but he didn't seem to be interested in us, Whew!

We will be off and running again here shortly. The old man has given us a special mission, and it involves some top-secret type of stuff. Only thing we have noticed is some of these funny looking boxes being loaded into the bomb bay. The bomb bay controls have been deactivated and sealed with a special lock. My instructions have been “do not, under any substances try to use the bomb bay controls.” Now let me ask you this if it’s sealed with a special lock how in the heck am I to use it to use the darn thing! Sure wish they would put some of these guys back in that rubber room! :jump: Now these bugger have added a dooms day button! My orders concerning this here thing, I will not elaborate on! @$^$#*^. Our orders are to fly to RPMD Bangoy (Davao) in the Philippine with an intermediate stop at WABB Frans Kaisiepo (Biak)

:wavey:The Turkey has landed at WABB!

Let me tell you about this secert poop, we were chosen for, secert indeed! It seem that old Dudley and the Chief got talking to some of the folks who were unloading the, and I quote " secert poop" and it was let drop that this cargo was more the secert poop, it is BOOZE! A few cases of good old Kentucky Whisky, and Scotch Whisky! I think maybe some beer to! Dirty bugger sure pulled the wool over me eyes! We sure will keep quite about this, and somewhere along the line to RPMD maybe a bottle or two will show up missing. hehe

Hi all!

This is going to be our last leg! Have been trying landing and taking off of the aircraft carrier CV3X, but just can’t get the Turkey to lift off. So will be flying from WABB to RPMD. Not problems with the cargo we landed with, it seem there were a lot of thirsty people here and when the word got around about this here booze. All heck broke loose, hehe, the Chief opened the hatch and bomb bay, so he say it was an accident that the bomb bay opened! Well, at least I can say it sure didn’t last long! Sure going to be a lot of ill feeling folks tomorrow. Based on what happened we thought it might be a good idea to get out of Dodge!

Taking off from WABB to RPMD non-stop!

PS. Just heard some good news. Look like Dangerous Dave has left RPMD in one of those birds that can land on the water. If we need to ditch it sure looks like we could get a ride!

Howdy,

Well, I guess I am out of this adventure. A week or so ago must have picked up some kind of bug that effect my flight simulators. After a period of flying with real weather on the flightsim just quits. I thought I had fixed it but I guess not. Will be back when I can find the problem.

Hear, Hear!! My Internet went down for ten days so I flew the legs off-line, without real-weather. Paul allowed my flights to stand so I would be hypocritical to say you can not do the same.
With a computer issues, "adjustments" should be made, within reason and frequency.
Do whatever you must do to fly the last leg..
