Here are two images... They are both WIPs but show, quite nicely I think, the lighting in the pits...

The first is panel lighting only... the second is panel lighting plus instrument lighting...

All Bill's work... and very fine it is too.3335233351http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/images/misc/pencil.png

I should point out that this is an entirely new technique I've come up with. This lighting is not an effect (.fx) file, nor are they gauge lightmaps...

This technique is an adapatation of the "3d landing/taxi lights" that were first showcased in the Lotusim L-39 model last year.

Both the instrument and panel lighting are continuously variable using 3d "knobs" on the side console's lighting panel.

The L-39 has used that since day one.

I do believe I said that already, but the technique I've developed is not precisely the same as that used by Mike in the L-39. Similar without question, but still not the same.

Just as it's not quite the same as that developed by Jon Blum from Virtual Reality. :ernae:

I've revised the lighting scheme to reflect the actual white lighting with a blue filter. All lighting is variable, front and rear cockpits separately controllable.

1. Gauge backlighting
2. Panel Floods
3. Integral Console
4. Dimmable annunciators
5. Annunciator test switch (on)
