,So yesterday i posted some early wip shots of my Red Herring T-33 which was the Royal Canadian Navies equivalent of the Red Knight, that flew for the RCAF. well i have some more wip shots of some other paints, these ones are of 21500,21616 which were the Support Aircraft for the RCAF Golden Hawks from 1959 to 1964 and of one of my snowbird paints. as i stated in my other post i hope to release them soon. i have to wait for the Red Herring graphic to be finished on my red herring paint. the Golden Hawk paints are pretty much done and there is still a little work to be done on the Snowbirds T-33. i hope you like the shots.

Hey - good work!

I think of the bunch, the Golden Hawks looks the most authentic. On the white "Snowbird" scheme, I think there's some font issues going on - don't know if it's the screenshot, but the font seems off. See the source image:

http://images.rcuniverse.com/forum/upfiles/31572/Om32234.jpg

The "Canada" and "Armed Forces" fonts are too large, and not the correct font type. For your "red herring" - if you borrow the roundel from your Golden Hawks (which looks accurate), then you'll have fixed that issue easily. Sorry, couldn't find source images of the red herring.

Not trying to be a turd - these will be very much enjoyed by some of us here - just a little feedback. Spent a fair bit of time around these both at 4 Wing and 19 Wing .... should be good!

dl

PS quiz time: what was the CT-133 call sign for flights at 19 Wing? Clue: it's a cartoon character ...

Pretty good. I see you added the "snowbirds" on the tip tanks.

One little niggle I found - looking at your 2nd photo (top view), the port roundel appears to be sitting further back than the starboard roundel. Looking at the red fuselage band, you'll see what I mean.

Just a little observation.

Glad to hear it's all coming together.

One other small detail: refer to the snowbird reference photo, and you'll the snowbird logo on the tail occupies almost the entire span of the vertical stabilizer - from just behind the forward (leading) edge to just ahead of the rudder. You've got it as far back as it needs to be, just needs to be scaled up/forward a bit.

Small stuff, really.

Answer to the quiz: 19 Wing (Comox) T-Birds were callsign "Yogi" ... no word of a lie

looks like it will be some time untill i can release the Red herring, i can't find a graphic big enough to put on the tail or even enlarge to a point were it will work, but i should have the Golden Hawks paint and the snowbirds paint up tonight or tomorrow and i have start working on 2 more paint, The Golden Centennaires and the VU-33 Bird so hopefully ill have some wip shots later today.
