I don't remember seeing a thread on this, and its only relation to flight sims is 2 combat jumps but...

On January 2nd of this year, Major ichard "Dick" Winters passed on. You may remember him as the company and battalion commander in Band of Brothers. I'll always remember that scene where he led a few men in a successful bayonet charge against 300+ Germans at that dike in Holland. RIP sir!
