I created some AI flightplans and modified some airports to provide parking and ATC facilities
so that my A2A WOP3 B-17G's could take off from Thorpe Abbotts and fly to Berlin, then
continue on to land at a base in Poland. Two other groups of 5 aircraft also went on to
a couple of other "targets" in Germany.

I upped in my A2A B-17 and flew with the group of 5 B-17's going to Berlin.

Here are some screenshots from that flight and a link to a slideshow of all my
A2A B-17G screenshots from different flights.

Make it black and white, give it a little grainy texture and it'll look like a photo shot during WW II.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

That was just one flight of AI 17's that I set up.

Every morning at 07:00 Thorpe Abbots local time, 15 B-17G's begin their preparations
for the daily flights. I set up 3 groups of 5 aircraft each to leave Thorpe Abbotts and
fly 3 different routes that take them over 3 "heavily defended areas" where I have
placed my FLAK site effects. (Actualy, I have hundreds of sites set up all over Europe,
see the attached screen shot))

The aircraft fly over the areas and continue on to an airfield beyond the "target"
and land. Later in the day they make the return flight to Thorpe Abbotts.

I chose the Berlin flight to join up with. At some point I will join the other two
flights as well as capture their retun home. I found it rather interesting that
my "first guess" at assigning takeoff times and altitudes worked so well to
get those AI aircraft "stacked up".

In each group they are scheduled for takeoff 30 seconds apart and the first aircraft
is assigned 23.5:, the next, 23.3K, then 23.1K and so on.

I wish it were possible to have AI follow waypoints. That way it would be possible
to get the entire 15 ships to form up and proceed to targets and back. Alas,
we do what we can with what we are given :)

Here are the flak concentrations in "my Europe":
