Taco- When you get a chance after your leg can you check to see if your duenna tracker is toggled on? I'm not seeing your flights show up on the live tracking page. You can set it to "RTW Test". Thanks!

in almost all circumstances it is a lost of flight.. crash with wingman transfer ( +30 min penalty) or if no wing, reverts baton to pt of departure + the obvious loss of elapsed time

Well done, shipmates!
:ernae:

One thing to remember about baton transfers:

Even though you're on Teamspeak and know that the baton carrier has landed, the official transfer takes place in the forum thread. So, a pilot cannot make the "I have the baton" post before the previous pilot makes the "The Baton is free at..." post. One of the things we try to get better at as we get closer to the race is fast baton transfers, meaning one minute or less separating the "baton is free at" and the "I have the baton at" posts in the thread. Still, one has to follow the other... :)

Falcon, you must fly the same way I drive, that low fuel light is just a minor thing, plenty left when it comes on - that's what I always tell the wife just before the engine begins to sputter...

Here's a Duenna from the second leg of the "Alps Practice" flight plan. I had already turned final on the first leg when I thought about doing this, lol. Oh well. . .it is practice after all. I did this leg with the Hawker Sea Fury and will try to do the remaining legs with various other possible race aircraft just to get an idea of how they might handle.

Willy
January 2nd, 2011, 21:54
The first two legs are the easy ones. I got up to LSZA earlier tonight in the F7F. Just as I was about to hop the ridge going down into there at about 400GS, it fogged up to about a mile visibility. Talk about trying to slow, enter the valley and not hit anything in the process.

It's been a while since I last flew this, but there's a couple of airports in there that you really don't want to be in a tail dragger for......
