This update adresses an issue that has been reported by users that causes the engine sounds to hang at a high rpm sound when switching from cockpit view to external view and vice versa.
It also adds the FSX sound cone technology to the Fw190 engine sounds.
The update can be obtained by clicking at the "check for updates" link in your start menu/classics hangar folder, respectively the Flight1/Classics Hangar folder if you own the compilation.
There are separate update file each for Early Variants, Late Variants and the CD/Download Compilation.

Can anybody comment on how they like the sounds with the sound cone tech vs the original sounds? I've noticed in spot view some planes using the sound cone sound really weak or muffled from directly behind the aircraft. The Realair Merlin Spitfire is one example where it sounds good all around, but very muffled from behind, due to the sound cone effects.

Hi SolarEagle,

the sound cone is easily removed if you are a bit familiar with a text editor.
Open the sound.cfg in
FSX_root\SimObjects\Airplanes\Classics_Hangar_Fw19 0A-1\Sound
or
FSX_root\SimObjects\Airplanes\Classics_Hangar_Fw19 0A-5\Sound
and remove all entries that look like this:

ConePitch=xxx
ConeHeading=xxx
InsideConeAngle=xxx
OutsideConeAngle=xxx
OutsideConeVolume=xxx

That's great advice. Thank you much!
