Very nice Tommy!
I just wish the vc could be improved...I don't fly the Mars nearly as much as I'd like.

Great paint Tommy, I saw a program on tv the other day about training a pilot to water bomb in this thing, the cockpit was updated with glass instruments the works, just wish like Roger said that it could be updated!

Just a note on the "repaint".....

Probably 95% of what you see was generated right off of the default Martin Mars Philippine. What I did probably amounted to 5% of what you see. I tweaked the following:

1. clean-up the areas where I placed "Coulson Flying Tankers" logos.

2. reduced the overall alpha channel where the red paint occurs to reduce the translucent candy like appearance of the default paint on my computer / monitor setup. I figured it must be occurring on other people's setups too.

3. removed the reddish tinge in the black coating on the underside of the wing; also added some engine exhaust stains over this black coating based on some of the photos I have seen.

4. remove the side mounted water dump door textures on the Hawaii Mars; this occurs only on the Philippine Mars.

5. change the call letter on the Philippine Mars from C-FLYL to C-FLYK

Yep I wish the VC could be updated too.....but would you prefer the old "steam" gauges, or the newer glass cockpit? I think I'd prefer the old "steam" gauges.

To be honest Tommy I'd like to have both like you I really prefer older steam gauges but the actual glass pit this thing has is a good combination of the two so in this case I'd like to have one of each!

Merry Xmas too!

I tried the zip file you mentioned and went on Virtavia site and could not find anything on Martin Mars. It is an interesting aircraft and one of the "oldies" that were flying when I was in the Navy.
To think that something, with bones almost as old as I am, is still taking flight.

They are only showing their NEW releases on their website......

You have to go to places like SimMarket, etc. to find their old AlphaSim releases; they have re-branded them under the Virtavia brand name on those sites, but I believe that there is no difference (in regards to updating) of those old AlphaSim releases. So, if you find repaints on the internet for the AlphaSim version, it should work on the re-branded Virtavia release.

Here's the Coulson Tanker website in case you haven't been there yet:

Thanks for the new repaints!

Your welcome Railrunner130....

I just wish that the book on the Martin Mars that I ordered from Coulson would have come in already; might have provided more insight for these current repaints.

I went to Simmarket and looked at Virtavia and could not find a Martin Mars. This is getting frustrating.
