This is a GMAX BF109F model created from scratch. My 1st project. I needed a good version of the F so I made it from scratch. Main Panel came from one Paul Ruffat's planes.

UNFORTUNATELY, I can not get the plane's fuselage BMP to appear.

The file comes with ALL of the builder's MDL files.... Lots and Lots of them. And not one is correctly linking to the fuselage BMP as called for in the "plan".

Yes, I read the MDL with HexEdit, and the file name is spelled correctly and all... Just refuses to appear.

I'm not savvy enough to fix this, and I'm not even sure *I* should be the one to correct it - could just be the result of a bad download, or a newbie builder error.

So - Consensus ?

Okay - I ran the LEFTNRIGHT TEXTURED.BMP file through BMP2000, created a MipMap set and saved the file as a 555.... and now it appears. The file is included below.

If you had problems with the initial download then try again, mine worked for some reason.

This is a first model, so while it may not be quite what we expect for FS9/FSX converted aircraft, we should all be welcoming new designers and helping out where possible. Also it is based on what the designer wanted to achieve. For those of us who have looked at doing designs but still have cold-feet it's always great to see when someone provides us with some new work, a bit more inspiration to do the same. :jump:
