Anyone

I need to add a top turret like on the B-17E on my Alpha B-17D. Is this possible? How do I do it? Also I would like to change the views on the B-24C/D, they are extremely crude. Is there a program for this, and where to I find it?

Braveheart,

You can add a turret via the DP file, but I don't know of any B-17 top turrets available as a weapon.

This approach was used with the Soviet version (Li2-See screen shot below) of the DC 3 using the stock MS C-47. The turret was designed as a weapon and then placed onto the plane via the DP file. Paul Rebuffat was the author of the plane. I don't know if it is still available, but a search for 2Li2Tv1.zip or the author's name might find it.

Views for airplanes are found in the panel.cfg file in the panel folder. Here is an example for a B-24D for the stock MS bomber. You can copy and paste this data into your panel.cfg file.

Thanks Tonybones. I'm sure we'll see a "need" for it soon.

The "Info" sheet with the plane gives this proviso about redistribution:

"do not alter without permission (it's not forbidden to ask)
do not redistribute without permission (which is generally given) "

I have not seen the author about in years. Does anyone have contact with Paul Rebuffat?

Bingo! Glad to see that it's still available. It's a great plane for those Ostfront installations of CFS 2.

To all,

Not to jump in here, but what about this, which uses the FDG C-47?
