It's so dang cold, my hawk is asking for food!

Look how fluffed his feathers are to insulate his body, which makes his body look larger. This is a Cooper's Hawk, better known as a Chicken Hawk. A family of them have nested in the trees behind my house for nearly 10 years.

I hope you fed the poor creature. ;) He does look like he is expecting something. Or is he just crossed-eyed from have to see something less than 30 feet away?
