Thank you Piglet for humbling this young man and trying to avert him from spending a countless fortune in styrene.I too, have had to fight my own personal "war on models" since 1958. But it will do not good, he has sniffed the sanded dust, partook of the vapors of MEK, brushed vile, noxious solvent paints; he's hooked Tim! :d

Caz, some 600 + models in and about, 275 at least built.

Hey Tim,
That TAMIYA 'Meatbox' is a nice collection of various Marks attempting to pass itself off as a real one!
Seems the troops from the Big T went and measured one in a museum that had been stitched together out of assorted parts .......... :d

I gave my stepson a few tonite that have been collecting dust in the back room that I doubt I'd have ever started. Revell 1/48 P-47, P-40B, Spitfire II and a metal bodied early 50s Buick Skylark convertible. That should keep him busy for a while putting them together.

I've still got several 1/144 propliners, 1/100 fighters and a 1/48 Gee Bee to build. Just finished a pair of 1/100 Spitfire Mk Vs the other day. Next up is a 1/100 Me 262 & Me 163. (and put the decals on a 1/144 DC-3) I've gotten rather fond of the little ones.

Cartermaker, I've got that same 1/48 Do 335 although I used different decals on it.

I had a ceiling full at one time, but when I moved from Washington to Oregon I gave most of them to my nephew. Been thinking about building again, but there just isn't enough time in the day.

Would you believe I still have Testors paint from back in the 60s and 70s. All dried up but the box I have them in is still here with me after all these years. :costumes: And some of the models too that I haven't put together. When I went off to college, my brother destroyed all the a/c models I had.

Anyone looking for an Otaki 1:12 scale Porsche 911 Turbo? I bought this one in 1973 in Rochester, NY. It's unassembled and for sale.... it's not cheap either. ;) Box was opened to make sure everything was there and not touched again. I can see it on the shelf in my computer room as I sit here at the computer.

Cool!!! My father has literally over a thousand of those things in the house (90%+ unbuilt). I guess I am meant to inherit his collection, though I don't know what I will do with all the things. :costumes:

Hi Wombat,
I think I have built over the years all those models you have shown boxed.
Lack of time and space is what is stopping me at the moment.
