'Is This Train Faster Than A Speeding Bullet?'
.....It maybe faster than a speeding bullet but looks like a smoothed over turd. I'll take a Union Pacific Big Boy any day......

Maybe that's why I like it! :) The train in Panther's pic has a great paint job but the styling looks like some kind of dragster.

I like it . Looks fast sitting still.
I like the way they shaped it beside the windshield . Streamlined and to hold it down.

Not here. I'll take Southern Pacific's Cab Forwards.

If one wants "round" up front, I'll have to throw our 611 into the picks! :) She could run at 110mph.

When I lived in Japan in the early 90s I got to ride the Shinkansen a couple of times. Quite an amazing ride, extremely smooth. I think I read somewhere the original 0 Series Shinkansen cab design was inspired by the DC-8. My favorite was the 100 series. A little pointier than the original 0 series but it really looked like a bullet.

I do like the N&W 611. With it's train it was almost as beautiful as the Daylight. It was a sad day in the Steam Community when the CSX saw fit to kill their steam program.

It wasn't CSX, it was NS. Perhaps someday again. She's parked right outside my office. :)
