Was sitting here watching WWII HD "The Air War" (Hope some of you were able to catch it!)
was just fumbling around and found one that I'd never come across before. Some of you
might find it awesome.

I've never realised the trials and tribulations of USAAF Bomber crews until I watched that show. I never knew the Luftwaffe was that much of a threat right up until D-Day. Some B-17 bomber crews couldnt even see their tagets because of the clouds. I remember the Schweinfurt raids also. The Germans were remarkably astute as well, after a bombing raid, they put their factories back up to near full capacity. An amazing show.

I was also startled and amazed while watching the show. What really hit me hard,
and even when I allready knew we took some big losses, I didnt realize just HOW bad
and how hard we really were hit on a majority of these runs. That "Forum" page
really makes you think too.

Gotta say those Brits knew exactly why they were flying night missions!
