Jamie, you're a scholar and a gentleman, many thanks in advance for supporting my humble west coast design shop! Working on the next pack as we speak...something with a little more TinBalls so to speak ;)

I love the B.2 pack so I just bought and downloaded the B.1 pack as well. Couldn't resist for only $5!

Thanks a lot, mate, hope you enjoy the B.1s as much - they're somewhat more peaceful looking than their production cousins - classy you might say. Personally speaking I've always been a huge fan of VN799 in Petter Blue; the original that started it all. Clean lines all over. That's all about to change soon though as we progress down the path of Canberra history.

I mean, I don't usually...

Poor old unlucky 13, I have to admit, I have a penchant for her too, although it doesn't involve ploughing her into a building, lol! Lovely screens, especially that shot of VN799 front on, brilliant backdrop. What scenery is that by the way?

Scenery is Real New Zealand Marlborough (http://windowlight.co.nz/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=7)

Beautiful - no doubt worth every penny of that $15. Love the photo real grass textures.

Yeah! and that's Kiwi $, about 10 bucks US.
Just needs a B1(12) to go with it! :bump:

What's the function in RL of the donut on the left front side of the perspex? A vent? A deicer?

nazca_steve
November 2nd, 2010, 19:23
It's called the Direct Vision panel, or DV panel, and essentially served as clear-vision port in case the main canopy misted up heavily. It had two heating filaments running across to keep the glass clear. It could be opened, and hinged downwards, so also served the purpose of letting some badly-needed fresh air into the cockpit on hot days on the tarmac.

In many ways, it's the 'eye' of the Canberra, and one of the things that gives it some of the much-loved character.

B(I).12 indeed...well, depending on how these upcoming packs go, that might be a possibility, otherwise if I attempted it my wife would probably divorce me! ;)

Purchased the B.1 pack - wow, just $5.00 - worth the price and a whole lot more too. Thanks for all your fine work.

Take care.

Thanks a lot, Ed for supporting the cause, and glad the price suited your wallet! These are hard times for a lot of us, and I figure 'budget payware' will help keep the ball rolling.

Modelr, please let me know if you are still having problems - I checked the page just now and all was fine, so it might have been a temporary glitch.

So far loving the A1, she looks great in blue. Interesting flight, took an emergency landing at a grass strip a repair on an oil leak, took 'til dawn to get it fixed, actually just wanted to see what she looked like in the morning, the mark of a true beauty ;)

the message is comforting to know.

Morning sees departure and resumption of journey to Cottesmore. Felt the need to throw her through her paces a little.

without any warning that dawn, an eerie blue har descended, first time I've seen that, coincidence I was flying a fine blue kite? It certainly suited her anyway.

FANTASTIC shots Jamie, wow indeed. LOVE the last one with the blur again, good to see the 30 degrees flap in operation too - someone's been reading the manual eh? Good stuff. Nice angled take-off shot too with the u/c retracting. Heck all of them are nice - that dawn inverted canopy shot is a classic. Thank a lot mate for posting these, nice to see what other people get up to with the B.1s. VN799 is definitely my fave.

last ones...as I descended the fog cleared a little and landing was a pleasure. Really enjoyable flight in a really enjoyable kite.

And the blue fog was in sim, no photoshop trickery there. I had just installed Pablo's HDEv2 (finally!!), must've been that. I've seen pink/purple before, but not royal blue.

thanks Steve,

you beat me to my last post, glad you like the pics. I've had a hoot flying her and look forward to the rest, I'll endeavour to get them all, depending on how many you do, lol.

Looking lovely there, Zsolts, nice to see a late customer for one my favourite versions of the Canberra...the one that started it all. Just look at that lovely rounded fin. Such a shame it caused problems.
