In 1936 the French Air Ministry issued a specification for a large transport flying boat capable of carrying 40 passengers over 6000 kilometers against a 60 km/h headwind. Construction of the Late-631 started in March 1939 in Toulouse but was interrupted by the outbreak of war. The prototype was captured by Germany during their occupation of France in World War II, and subsequently bombed by the Allies. After the war nine more were constructed. The last Latecoere 631 was withdrawn from service in 1955. Gmax by A. F. Scrub.

A.F.Scrub did a very good job on the Latecoere 631. The external model is very nice but a few improvements can be made in other areas. One is the sound, which is aliased to the DC-3. The Bristol Hercules sound pack by Gary Jones give a very nice effect for this airplane.

With better sound and some TLC for the VC panel, the 631 is very impressive in my opinion.
