Myself and two other students were allowed to start the APU then Engines one and three on our 727-200 this morning in our intro to aviation class.
You have no Idea how awesome that was. The instructor surprised us by asking us to start the engines, because our goal was just to get the APU started and see if it still runs. The plane hasn't been run since last august. And my class got "volunteered" to do the aircraft walk around and pre-flight inspections.
