The Liberty Foundation has worked hard over the last several months to get this puppy ready. And now after a long wait I bring to you news of the newest addition to the warbird ride circut......

Cool cool. Hope to see it out on the airshow circuit. Didn't even know they made tandem seat P-40's.

they did 2 seat trainer versions, built from the K varient if i rember rightly :)

Willy, I actually don't know too much about the aircraft. I was thinking it was pulled out of eastern Europe somewhere a long time ago.

And it was originally restored as a single seat. We then made modifications to it to place a second seat in it. It does NOT have dual control capabilities YET.... But from what I understant, there are panels that can be put inplace so that it looks like a legit single seater and hide the second seat.

wouldn't that make it kind of hard for the backseater to see out? That's a killer for the experience, IMO.

Oh no, the panels were created to be used when we are NOT giving rides!!! That would be a sucky riding experience!

Our chief pilot Ray Fowler mentions the aircraft briefly in this radio podcast...
Also if you search there are photos of the aircraft from earlier this year on that website...
