For those of you who don't know this, the Time/Life archives are being put up on the Interwebs with the help of Google. Only about 20% of the collection is up now, but more is to come. This not only includes stuff that ran in Time and Life, but also a lot of alternate takes that have never been seen before by outsiders. I've found a ton of stuff on there this morning related to the space program, to early television, even a ton of photos related to the NBC/CBS P-51 race with the Coronation footage.

Good old 25 ASA Kodachrome too, which produced grainless images when shot in broad daylight or with good flash lighting.

My Favorite is http://www.shorpy.com They have been posting archived photos all along from the National Archives, but have gone nuts with the recent release of the Life archive
