Hello there guys

I have painted yet another SAAF aircraft on request from one of the forum members here to fill the virtual skies.

I have made a repaint for the Aeroworx Aviation X-treme King Air B200 in the colours of the South African Air Force or SAAF 41 Squadron aka "the Pointers" #652. The King Air 200 in SAAF colours has the national flag on the tailfin with the serial number in black. The SAAF cookie cutter roundel is on the side of the fuselage with dark blue and arctic blue stripes. The Pointers patch is painted on the side near the cockpit windows.

To obtain the payware Aeroworx Aviation X-treme King Air B200 a purchase should be made from http://www.flight1.com for this repaint to work.

I have uploaded the repaint at http://www.flightsim.com so be sure to check it out! Make a search for either SAAF or Pieters, if the repaints do not show yet it maybe due to the servers not showing them yet.

I have included a few screenshots below to show you how it looks...

Any comments and feedback would be welcome as always... :wavey:

Blessings and enjoy flying her!!:salute:

AWX B200 - such a wonderful plane to look at and fly. Very immersive. Such a shame it never made it over to FSX.

Great to see that brilliant model painted!
Would be great to see the RNZAF livery on that one too...
Wild Bill did an excellent repaint on the freeware Allied FS Group (AFG) Beech Kingair 300 (http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=kingair_nz1886.zip&CatID=root&Go=Search) but IRL it's a -200, which is what the AW model is...

I agree with you on that, it really is a very nice plane and Aeroworx did a splendid job! Pity they did not continue to produce any more fine aircraft!

Thank you for the positive comments, I really appreciate it! I have started repainting because I saw there was not a lot of SAAF paints for aircraft so I made it my job to try:jump:

The same I see that there is not plenty RNZAF paints so maybe Wing_Z you should dig in:wavey: I am not really a painter of other air forces b maybe I can make an exception if the scheme is not that hard to do ;)

Looks great, Morras!
I don't own the AW Kingair, so I don't know how different the texture mapping is compared to the AFG 300 model. But if you're interested in doing the RNZAF scheme, I could provide the layered templates, making it much easier for you to wrap them around the AW version.
Please let me know!

Cheers,
Markus.

Thank you for the positive comments Markus, I really appreciate them!

I have seen your AFG RNZAF scheme and it looks super nice! I can agree that those curved cheatlines would give you grey hair...

The AW kingair textures do differ a lot from the AFG Kingair, since I have painted both now but I would really appreciate it none the less if you could send me those layered templates. I am sure it will make same New Zealand floks very happy:jump:

I have sent my email via PM:wavey:
