I'm knew to FSX. A week ago today I got FSX Gold Edition. Then added REX2 very nice add-on.
Anyway where can I find an US army/air force painted Piper_J3Cub? Thanks in advance.

I was flying in Anchorage, Alaska today and took some pictures.

Sphinx_58, Thy are nice planes. Thank you.

O-1Driver has just gotten a L-4 Army (real plane) that he is working on RL stuff. I was looking to make a video of the cub in FSX for him.
As far as WWII thou Korean wars the CFS3 Expansions have all the planes that a person can handle. very nice planes.
Thank you for your reply!

The A2A Simulations J-3 is one of the great airplanes for FSX. It's a two-part purchase - there's the plane itself (http://www.a2asimulations.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=36), and then the Accu-sim module (http://www.a2asimulations.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=37), which adds better flight dynamics, a realistic engine, and the passenger, who's interesting, to say the least.

There are several US Army repaints available - not true L-4's but repaints of the J-3. You can find many on this thread (http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=19410) in the A2A forums. Recently posted were these repaints (http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=22148) and also these (http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=22146). Also check here (http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?app=downloads&showcat=3).

Before you buy, read the A2A forum commentary and make sure your system can run it. It's a complex model and it's pretty demanding on the system - but really worth it if you can get it going. The videos at A2A will give you a pretty good impression of what it's about.

Hope this helps.

This is the one you want for an L-4 Grasshopper: http://secure.simmarket.com/flight-replicas-l-4-grasshopper.phtml

I have both the A2A J-3 and this, both highly recommended.

The screen shots are nice. I presume current weather was not selected. There has been precious little sunshine here for a couple weeks: I have only been able to fly (real airplanes) twice in the last two weeks.

I don't know about the military version, but I like the A2A cub.
