The SU-33 flys very well in FSX. if it hadnt, i wouldnt have used it as a testbed.. I need to know if what i'm seeing is caused by me, or the flight model it was based on. with the su-33 i know that everything thats gone wrong in creating the su-37 was because of me, and not the work that was put into the original model..

in aicraft.cfg
copy the [CameraDefinition.n] sections from your hornet aircraft.cfg and place them in your su-33 aircraft.cfg

//----------------------

[smokesystem]
smoke.0=-53.00, 0, -0.0, fx_smoke_w
smoke.1 =-33,? -20.00, 1.40, fx_smoke_r
smoke.2 =-33, 20.00, 1.40, fx_smoke_r
//-----------------------

under all sections of flaps, this could be [Flaps.1], [Flaps.2], [Flaps.3] the next line;
maneuvering_flaps=1
//-----------------------

[TurbineEngineData]
afterburner_throttle_threshold = 0.95
ThrustSpecificFuelConsumption = 1.0
AfterBurnThrustSpecificFuelConsumption = 1.0

///////////////////////////

find in panel cfg
render_3d_window=1 and change the 1 to 0
it should look like this
render_3d_window=0
//----------------------

under [Vcockpit01] you put // in front of
gauge07=Alpha_SU33!autotoggle_AB_98, 0,0,10,10, so it should look like this:
//gauge07=Alpha_SU33!autotoggle_AB_98, 0,0,10,10

//////////////////////////////

find better glass and rename it to glassin_T and glassout_T then put those 2 in your texture

//////////////////////////////

Why not wait until Marks new native FSX one gets released?!!

Do we replace all the Info that is Currently in each section such as the Smoke system and turbine engine data or just add what you posted?

@Rattler

it should look like this:

//---------------------

[TurbineEngineData]
fuel_flow_gain=0.007
inlet_area=6.920
rated_N2_rpm=12500.000
static_thrust=27557.000
afterburner_available=1
reverser_available=0.000
afterburner_throttle_threshold = 0.95
ThrustSpecificFuelConsumption = 1.0
AfterBurnThrustSpecificFuelConsumption = 1.0

//------------------------------

[smokesystem]
//smoke.0=0.0, -29.00, 4.0, fx_ALPHA_SU33_smoke
//smoke.1=0.0, -29.00, -4.0, fx_ALPHA_SU33_smoke
smoke.0=-53.00, 0, -0.0, fx_smoke_w
smoke.1 =-33, -20.00, 1.40, fx_smoke_r
smoke.2 =-33, 20.00, 1.40, fx_smoke_r

Awesome, it flies really good in FSX. :jump: I have had a soft spot for the su-33 ever since i started playing Flanker 2.0 a long time ago. Thanks for the HU.
Ohh BTW does anyone know if there are any repaints available for the Su-33? Cant really find any good ones over at Flightsim?

OK, I'll wait, but I'm really hoping to be able to see the exterior structures of the jet from inside the VC. lol.

Exactly what Bone said if no external model visible from the VC then it's a no go for me too!

Well, I didn't say it 'exactly' that way, but it is true I would rather not buy models in which they aren't visable, and I buy alot of models.
Cheers ;)
