A2A Me109E - excellent quality and possibly soon to be Acu-simmed (only 3 liveries though)
Just Flight BoB pack or single Bf109E - great quality and comes with a variety of liveries, IMHO equal to the A2A, but won't be acu-simmed. Good value with the Hurricane and Spit as well.
Flight1 - these guys have the G and K models in two packs (Flight Replicas A/c sold by Flight1). Screenshots look good. Used to be more expensive than the others I thought, but just checked and it's $21.99 at the moment.

The VC and some of the textures on the Just Flight 109 are disappointing and have little in comparison with the A2A version.

I have the A2A Me109 it is very good & there are quite a few repaints around. I have gotten most of mine from SOH FSX Repaints

There are over 40 repaints for the A2A Messerschmitt BF109E. If these aren't sufficient for you, just send me a PM as I have made several which were never released. Although I hate pilot, I definitely love the model.

As I don't have the Justflight Bf109E I can't provide any information about that model.

As far as I know there are no real plans to update Flight replica to full FSX models. (Correct me if I'm wrong Michael...)

The Classic Warbird Design Team was working on a FSX version of their Bf109G package, but I haven't heard anything about this project for quite a while (since beginning this year).

Some very highly perfected flight dynamics have already been done - it's quite something to fly. Not only hits 'the numbers' across the board, but the correct 'feel' has been integrated as well. The pilot-controlled two-stage turbo supercharger is working beautifully; the inertia starter is more complex, but on the list. Right now the gun control systems are being worked on. :)

Both is ok.
Officially it's Bf (from Bayerische Flugzeugwerke). There even was an order of the RLM (the German air ministry) to return all mail from the Messerschmitt factory where it's referred to as Me.
However, nobody back then ever used the Bf when he talked about the 109, not the pilots, not the news reel and not Hermann Göring.
So in official documents it's Bf 109, in dayly use Me 109 is fine.

I thought it was originally Bf, but then when things started going bad, things were then named after their creator so it was known who was responsible for bad designs/failures and could be punished.

Not exactly.
In the early 1930ish both Messerschmitt and the Bayerische Flugzeugwerke where forced into a joint venture by the goverment since both where in a financially delicate situation.
That is, the Messerschmitt factory was now under the roof of the BF factory with Willy Messerschmitt being the chief constructor.
All designs developed under BF had the initials Bf, obviously, that is the Bf108, 109 and 110.
In 1938 BF turned into Messerschmitt A.G.
All new developements from now on recieved the initials Me: Me 210, Me 410, Me 262 and so forth, while the older designs retained their original Bf designations.
To make the confusion complete, all planes build prior to the birth of Messerschmitt A.G. in 1938 are Bayerische Flugzeugwerke products:
Bayerische Flugzeugwerke Bf109 for instance.
The same plane produced in 1938 or later would be a Messerschmitt Bf 109. :-)

I have the A2A Me109 it is very good & there are quite a few repaints around. I have gotten most of mine from SOH FSX Repaints

I was just able to find some time out from work to take the A2A 109, JF 109 and Matthias great Fw190 out for a spin around Eindhoven. I'd have to give the 109 vote to the A2A model, it has a sharper VC and better flight dynamics. The JF 109 doesn't seem to lose speed in the same way, making it harder to get to a landing speed.

The Fw190 demonstrates a great flight model and the A2A modelled drag and speeds more closely to that than the JF model.

Although I did have a problem getting the flaps to deploy on the A2A model and in the past I've had issues getting the gear to retract, but that may just be my flying :)

I searched the simouthouse library but didn´t find any.
I am especially interested in a Repaint of the "Rote (red) 7" Bf 109 G-4 which is owned by the Messerschmidt Stiftung and still flying today.
I don´t know if it was ever done for the A2A Bf 109.

Oops, I read both English and German equally good (or bad), so I didn't notice. I had clicked the English version of Falcon's site, however this page obviously is only available in German.

Oelwanne, I will come back on the repaints soon, but the "rote 7" was never done for the A2A Emil.

Most repaints done were done the FS9 version. However the textures size and lay-out is exactly the same as for the FSX version. You only have to rename the file.

Martin "ICDP" Catney has made an incredible paint kit for the 2A2 Messerschmitt, whichis one of the reason there are this many repaints for this model.

In general you could say yes. The Friederich model had a lot of aerodynamic improvements compared with the Emil. And is by most considered to be the best 109. The Gustav and Kurfürst were very logical follow-ups but, became very heavy and especially the auxiliary armament didn't improve aerodynamics. As the wing area didn't increase the wing load became very high.

One of the main reasons why the 109 stayed in production was the fact its performance at high altitudes was better that that of the FW190 A.
