Hi Guys,
Just a heads up on some of the work thats been done for bomb sights in the soon to be released ETO update. Have redone sights for the Blenhiem, Halifax's, Lancasters, B17G, Bostons, B25, and a few others as well. I hope to get a few more done before the cut off date.
All sights have been resized to 2048 x 2048 which allowed for much greater detail to be depicted and existing sight textures have been redone with much better graphics.
I have replaced model files with new edited models that have fixed the problem of the sght texture seeming to float in the middle of the screen when zoomed out fully.
Now when zoomed right out the sight texture is bound by the top and bottom edge of the screen with no gaps.
This one was made for the AvH_US_B-17G-80_002 currently in ETO and depicts the Nordan sight. We have also got MkIV Wimperis Coarse Setting Bomb Sight and the Type 1 Gyro bomb sight (RAF equivilant of the Nordan)

1. Run up to target, full zoom out using left “[“ key, target (hangers) entering field of view.

2. Run up to target, full zoom out, target in manual eye sight plate.

3. Run up, zoomed in 2 clicks from full zoom using the right “[“ key, as the target tracks towards main sight circle.

4. Run up, zoomed in 4 or 5 clicks using the right”[“ key, as the target enters the main sight picture.
You can zoom in much closer than this, pretty much until the sight circle fills the whole screen and you can’t see any of the metal work.
You’re bombing height will determine how many clicks in will be required. i.e. the higher up you are the more you may have to zoom in.
You will be able to try these out soon enough, a set of files for the recently released B24D"s has been sent over to Reg's Hanger for release as a an optional set of files for Teds great B24's.
regards Rob.
