Looks pretty cool, Rowdy.

What Goodwood scenery is it ?...

I re-opened your AI Merlin Sounds topic a few days ago, can you shine some light on it, please ? See here : http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=25732

Thanks!

Cheers,
Jan

Oh - I must have missed that thread being re-opened. When I did open it I was planning on uploading a soundset for the Merlin, but I went onto developing it further then kinda lost track.

Glad you mention it as I have recently began to work on it again. ATM I'm not very happy about its current situation, it sounds a little "tinny" and echoey for liking. The hard part is finding some suitable sounds to use either from youtube or from one of my own recordings. Neither recording is prolonged enough so I have to rentinously loop and re-loop the sounds of: MerlinRpm3front, MerlinRpm1back etc... so it seems a little robotic. I will continue to develop this idea now, as some have showed interest.

The Goodwood scenery was made by Falcon409 and is avialable in the Warbird's Library.

I think you should, not much going in the 'world of AI warbirds', is there.....

Do you happen to use AI Spits, Hurries or any other warbird AI yourself ?

Ok, thanks! I'll try and pick it up. ( any vintage car racing going on there ?... :) )

Great screenies ! That's the thing i'm looking for but then with AI models so i can join in... :)

Thanks Pips/Jarvis

The reason why I chose to try and create such a thing was so that when people are using FS-recorder and playing a display as traffic, one can hear that characteristic sound of the Merlin as their spitfire/P-51/Hurricane runs in. It can be used in multiplayer too, eg screenshots above. I don't really use the RealAir AI Spitfires for formation flying, as they don't really do much and are very generic. The same goes for First Class Simulation's Hurricane, as the AI models included aren't really very detailedand move very robotically. As a person of realism, I don't like to see things like this as I believe FSX was designed to represent the modern world, and so the AI traffic ought to reflect this.
