Soon!!! These are awesome...and I didn't really like the missions being added to FSX in the beginning! Feels like you are flying by the FAA standards again

Here are some shots, mostly on the way to and passing over the "Col De Jaman Pass" and then Lake Geneva. Love the voice of the Flight Instructor and when she called ahead to the Aero Club on her cell phone to let them know we were almost back. . .and spoke French. . .OMG, I almost lost control of the airplane, lol. Great job Chris!!:salute:

These look really tempting! I have flown a lot in the area in the sim and once also in real life and it is spectacular. It also looks really good with UTX EU and GEX EU applied.

I know this has been asked before but can one replace the aircraft used in the mission? I would like to fly this with the Carenado C172.

Dimus,

there was another thread about a week ago asking the same thing. There are two ways, one of which will let you fly another airplane but you don't get credit for the mission (just check the box at the bottom of the screen that says something like "allow changes to mission". The other involves editing the "flt" file inside the mission folder, removing the line that indicates the type of aircraft to be flown and replacing it with your aircraft of choice.

Believe me though, don't just check the box that will allow you to make changes, you really want to do the second option so you get credit. There's an added incentive for doing that once you complete all three, but I'll leave that for you to discover.:salute:

Thanks Falcon, I'll go with editing the flt.

As said, I know the airport in Sion quite well so I think I will be successful in the first one. Then I might consider buying the other two.

Chris also put out two freeware missions a few years ago that are available at Avsim. I picked up one, "Lunch on Catalina Island". It takes you from Van Nuys Airport south over the Hollywood sign, then west to land and pick up a friend, then south to Long Beach to check out the Harbor area and then off the coast to Catalina Island.

Have you heard of the saying "Aviate, Navigate, Communicate"? It's what you're supposed to do IN THAT ORDER if you have a problem. In other words, always fly the airplane FIRST (correct airspeed, correct orientation to the horizon, etc), then Navigate to a good place to land, etc ... then Communicate (ask for assistance from ATC).

Since you almost lost control of the aircraft when she spoke French, I would advise that you use the following: "Aviate, Navigate, Communicate, then Flirt" (in that order) :icon_lol:

If she continues to show up in other missions, I'll have to give that a try Chris, lol. . .thanks!:salute:

Falcon, you do the exact same thing I do...fly this mission in default, then try the odd ones!

Hmmmm....maybe A2A's 377??

Well, this Cessna is a long way from home in Geneva but it is worth it I guess. It worked falcon, thanks!!!

I finally managed to fly mission 1 last evening. I was right!!!

The area looked astinishing with UTX and GEX and my Greek registered 172 flew well and got me safely to Sion. A few screenies from the flight that I took "on the fly". I do not have any from Sion as I was too absorbed to doing the approach right. I remember from my real flight that you do get too close to the hill side when on the downwind leg.

Thanks for showing these to me guys. I think I'll go for the next two as well.

Edit: for some reason the shots from photobucket are resized. Too bad! They looked muck better at original size...
