Was there any further word on the seven casualties?

Thankfully there was no major fire but the damage certainly is substantial :(

Every lost of a historical bird, such as that one is an irreplaceable lost. :(

No chance of getting the bird home safely as the engine failed shortly after takeoff.

Fortunately, there were just seven injuries; none life-threatening.

While the loss of an irreplaceable aircraft is a terrible thing, the loss of human life would have been worse.

http://flightsim.com/l/maamdcxx.gif FS2002/FS2004 MAAM-SIM DC-3 Rosinenbomber (Candy Bomber). The DC-3 D-CXXX "Rosinenbomber" (Candy Bomber) is the only flight-ready DC-3 in Germany. It is operated by the Air Service Berlin. Based on repaint templates by Mark Beaumont and original textures by Jan Visser, this texture set in D-CXXX livery requires the base DC3 package available from Mid Atlantic Air Museum Simulations (MAAM-SIM) Requires previous installation of OY-BPB C-47 package (BPB_FS9.ZIP (http://flightsim.com/file.php?cm=SEARCH1&fsec=0&fname=BPB_FS9.ZIP)). I wonder where the rudder damage comes from?

I'll definately miss the sound of the two Twin Wasps above my head...

Good news is that no one got killed, but indeed a very sad loss for german classic aviation.

It still was one of my dreams to take a trip over Berlin with this thing one day! I will have to bury that dream now, I guess...

I share your emotions, Alex!
My wifey initially planned to get me onboard as a birthday present two years ago, but found another gift back then... :crybaby:

Fence elements on the loose?

If it hadn't been for some concrete elements in the fence system, the wing would have stayed intact as well.
