Ok, got video card to work but.....

There's a addon program that provides additional tweaks to the settings, and I cannot remember the name of it.

If it's an NVidia card, maybe NHancer (http://www.nhancer.com/)?

If so, check out Nick Needham's FSX setup tips in this thread (http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=29041).

If you're using an ATI card, then apologies - none of this is any use to you, and neither am I. But maybe others will chime in.
