Importing DC-3 into MAW

I've brought over the Australian DC-3 from PTO into MAW and the weapons "aircraft flares" and "trooper_stick" but when I drop the paratroopers I don't see them. I can select them and hear them drop, but no visuals. What am I missing?

Just looked - there aren't any pylons.

Check your effects.

Aircraft_flare requires fx_air_flare
Trooper_stick requires fx_trooper_stick

You're going to have to locate the lines, and the sub-lines that depend on the lines, in your PTO effects.xml. Then you'll need to list the effects textures they call for, and add them too.

On the whole, the effects used in ETO build upon those in PTO and MAW, without overwriting them. I've found that as long as you make back-ups just to be on the same side, you can simply import the latest ETO guns, weapons, effects and effects.xml directly into MAW without any side effects. But it's on your own head if... Although frankly, it's rather unlikely.
