Hello hello

This repaint is of a SAAF SAAB JAS-39C Gripen #3911 in the new standard low visibility scheme applied to all the Gripens. Serial #3911 was one of the first two SAAB JAS-39C Single-Seater Gripens to arrive at CapeTown during February 2010 from Sweden for the SAAF. The new standard low visibility scheme comprises of a diamond shaped two colour grey pattern on the top of the wings, tailfin and the rest of the aircraft plus the new standard cookie cutter roundal used in the SAAF. This repaint has a bit of weathering and dirt, giving it a combat feeling.

To obtain the payware AlphaSim SAAB Gripen a purchase should be made from http://www.alphasim.co.uk for this repaint to work.

I have also added a few screenshots and a real photo of the repaint so you can get a good perspective of how it looks.

I have uploaded the repaint at http://www.flightsim.com so be sure to check it out! Make a search for either SAAF or Pieters, if the repaints do not show yet it maybe due to the servers not showing them yet.

I have included a few screenshots below to show you how it looks...

Hi,

Not yet available but seem's promissing

Side note about the payware AS Gripen
The aircraft.cfg (for single and dual crew version) contain twice a "EFFECTS" section.
One can be removed
The first found (from top to bottom) is with AS effect .. the last instance is the FS2004 default effects.

A very very nice repaint indeed

Can't wait to download it.

One of the most interesting and welcome venue of your repaint project besides
the aircraft itself is the "Teaked" Pilot wearing Swedish made Helmet and Oxygen
mask standard to all pilots member of the "Gripen Order".

For some obscure reason AlphaSim guys decided to equipped the pilot of their
payware Gripen with a Vietnam Era Usa made helmet and oxygen mask.

Your new repaint correct this bizarre situation.

Thanks a lot of all FS Gripen fans !!!

Just a little HU, these repaints don't appear under the 'ALPHA' banner in the selection menu, they're under their own title of 'SAAB JAS-39C Gripen' in the list. WELL done otherwise.

Thank you very much for the kind comments guys, really appreciate it:salute:

Its just the appreciation and comments like these that keep us repeating this process from aircraft to aircraft.

There is some more SAAF goodies in the pipeline so just be sure to watch this forum:jump:
