Holy crap, 591 gallons used ??

...how does one compete with a barely subsonic jet that travels 1467.1 nm on 591 gallons of fuel ?
20+ minutes in overspeed ?

Time to withdraw, this isn't a race, it's a slaughter- MINE !

Time to withdraw, this isn't a race, it's a slaughter- MINE !

No Never.. if we looked at real world ferry range, a few aircraft would fail in flight sim so fly for fun and have fun :)

I picked the aircraft i did due to long range fuel range as it reflects the real aircraft so all i can do is have fun with it and hope i can push it a little :)

OK one more time.

I disabled all of my addon meshes except the 38m Alaska mesh. I am hoping it was a confilct with the other meshes and not the problem its self.

I found that my problem stemmed from having my season set to spring.
as soon as I set it to June 21 (first day of summer)
the problem has not come back.

I was going to post a link,
but I see that you are over at the Rules thread.

I know the Freeware mesh I have is Flakey and does not play well with some of the other freeware meshes. The issue is I had Alaska 38 and West Coast 38 both active. They meet probably right were the sim crashed.

I will refly as Computer crashes don't count anyway.

I was just hopping I could fly into Canada with out a problem. NOT

Some day I guess I got to break down purchase a real mesh

I don't know what just happened here but the last 5 days are a blur. Every thing started out normal we had a few days of undesirable weather so we decided to stay over in PAED, then we met some locals in a bar and they introduced us to Moose Juice.

Pretty much an hour later is about the last thing I remember until I woke up in the Seward Alaska. I was in the local hospital for what I would find out later was Alcohol Poisoning (who would have thunk it). Now the strange thing is Seward Alaska is about 70nm south of Anchorage and I have no clue how I got here. One thing is for sure though with that officer standing at the door it looked like I ain't going anywhere fast.

Well after a quick visit by the Doctor and checking out of this rather fine Hotel I was escorted before the local Judge.

Seems I have been charged with

Drunk and Disorderly
Causing a disturbance (Was ringing the town square bell to the tune of Helter Skelter )
Breaking the Peace (Woke a bunch of people up. Well most of the town)
Destruction of Public Property (Turns out that is the Peace)
Urinating in Public (Peed on the squad car)... twice
Intentional Public Stupidity with out a license (that's evidently OK here if you have the license. Wish I would have known)

Well the Judge asked me how I plead and I told him I was right sorry but I don't remember doing any of that stuff so I don't know how to Plead. I explained to him that I was sitting in a bar in Anchorage when these guys talked me into having a drink called Moose Juice.

“Moose Juice” the Judge explained “Well that explains a lot”

“ I find you guilty by reason of Moose Juice. You are here by sentenced to 15 days in Jail Suspended and I charge you a $100.00 fine” said the Judge.

Bewildered and some what confused I asked the Judge “Judge that's very nice of you but why so little”. I was genuinely surprised because I figured my goose was cooked.

The Judge replied with a smile “Well last month we did the same thing. We got a visitor all drunk on Moose Juice and dropped him off in Anchorage. He tore the place up. It was just their turn that's all”.

Well that kind of irritated me but not wanting to rock the boat I paid the fine and out the door I go.

Here I am in Seward and in need of transportation to Anchorage and very few choices in front of me. Thumbing threw every local charter service I finally found one that could fly me out that day. I was little apprehensive about using her but she seemed to be the only game in town at the moment. She goes by the name of Joe and owns Dirty Joe's Alaskan Tours.

So I slip an officer a 20 spot to take me to PAWD and Dirty Joe's Hangar. I wonder how many laws I broke by doing that. He gave me a funny look when I told him where I wanted to go but my choices were few.

When I arrived at the hangar I found out why the officer gave me the funny look. Dirty Joe is just that. Other than a surprisingly good looking face it looks like she hasn't bathed in a month. Oddly enough she smells like that Moose Juice stuff too and that was almost more than I could handle I was ready to hurl. .

After about 20 minutes of talking and telling her I don't need the full tour package I only need to get to Anchorage she finally relented and gave me a fairly cheap price to fly there. Her only plane is a Curtiss Wright Travelair D4000 this thing is older than I am.

Dirty Joe...

Dirty Run down poorly maintained Plane...

… and I am going to get in it with her flying it?

20 minutes of more discussion and I had Dirty Joe convinced to let me fly the plane and she could just drink what ever that is in the coffee mug. Which I suspected was not coffee. Surprisingly she agreed rather quickly which had me puzzled.

7373

So my intermission from the PACRIM 2010 is almost over I just got to fly to PAED.

Had I planned the trip it would have been worth it the Alaskan country side is a wonder to behold from an open cockpit aircraft. It just would have been nice if it had some navigational aids other than just a compass.

7376 -------------- 7377

Joe and I talked the whole way to Anchorage she is actually a very interesting person I might just go back and visit some day.

7378

We landed and Joe took another hit off of her thermos then she said a quick good by nice to see you again and off she went back to Seward. Like all of the other things that have gone down in the last 24hrs I just let the statement pass.

There she sits just where I left her and none the worse for wear my Saab J-29F and my mechanic Rusty putting the finishing touches on some kind of maintenance.

“Where the heck have you been” he asked?

“You don't want to know” I said.

I thought I would never see you again after you left the Bar with that chick the guys called Dirty Joe!

Come on your falling behind she's already I will meet you at Edwards.

In my mind I say that Drity little…

PAED – CYYJ man I hope this works I don't want to come back here anytime soon.
