...in flying Buffaloes?

Iīve finished a set of missions (26 with the Buffalo and five with various Allid bombers) covering the defense of Malaya and Singapore.

I only need to make a few minor tweaks to the readme, and then they would be ready to upload..

Cheers,

skylane

...
I didnīt announce that I was working on this because I am quite busy at work, so I had no idea when I would be able to finish these missions.

Maybe it would be a good idea if two or three people test the missions before I finally release them? Iīve flown them several times myself, but maybe I still missed some glitches.

If anyone would like to test them, please send a PM wit an e-mail address.

One thing I just found out: Can someone point out where to find Xavierīs hangar collection? I searched his addons here, but canīt find them. I need to provide a link to them in the readme...

Skylane,

Excellent work! Looks like I'll be buying SOMEONE a payware aircraft...

By the way, the hangars you can find here...Xavierb has two sections...Xavierb2 and Xabierb. The latter is kind of a "hidden room" in the download archive.

Skylane,

I'm not sure, but I can give you a push. The "af_" designation means that it's Midway-related, so look under Pen32Win to find what you're looking for.

I tried, but it is not there..
I think I downloaded the file from Netwings, long ago...
Guess Iīll try to contact Pen32win via PM.

Thanks for the offer, Oldwheat, but I have the file.
I need to provide a link to it in the readme file for those missions.

Well, a tweaked version of it is available @ the 'Aerocrate' site in the campaign downloads section under 'other aircraft'. I'm pretty sure that Pen would sanction an upload if you asked (unless it is buried in one of his packages already.) I believe that it originally was included in the 'AF Midway' campaign @ Netwings.

Iīm not sure. I believe I got it as a separate package from Netwings. I sent a PM to Pen32Win yesterday asking for permission to include it in my upload but have no reply yet.

...Update...

The missions are currently being tested. As soon as this is complete, and I have adressed any issues that might come up, I will upload them.

I still have no reply from Pen32Win regarding the arty_shell package. Since there is nothing in the readme explicitly forbidding this, I think about including it in the package, with proper credit.
Would this be acceptable?

I don't think that 'Pen' would mind but it wouldn't be hard to come up with a new renamed version. The.mdl file is only a pixel or two. The whole deal could probably be fabricated in 15 minutes or so.

Is this what you are talking about?
AF Shore Bombardment and More Package (http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb2.cgi?section=cfs&file=af_arty_shell.zip) Create your own realistic shore bombardments! Controlable Heavy Caliber Gunfire is now here. Trigger/Event driven Arty Barrages when and where you want them, for as long or short as you like. As easy to control as adding a new AI Aircraft formation. This package also fixes Aircraft hitting the ground without destroying anything. The visual Effects have been improved as well. It can also be used to create realistic V-1's or full payload drops by AI Heavy Bombers. Aircraft, Ship, Effects and Demo Missions included. No other D/L's required. From the AF=Midway Project Team. 314K

It is available in the utility portion of CFS2 dowloads at the Simviation web site. Hope this helps Wahoo.

Thanks again, Wahoo! Thatīs what I was looking for.

Testing of the missions is still in progress, it may still take a while before they are ready for releasing.
Iīll keep you informed.
