This looks like it might be worth waiting for, a true FSX native Nimrod, to commerate it's retirement from the RAF.

Good grief that's an ugly airplane, lol. I'm sure it has admirers. . . .but. . .whoa!

I must admit that I've always liked the looks of the Nimrod MR2. I can't help but be worried about the possibilities of a catastrophic engine failure immediately coinciding with a wing off light though.

Nice to see Simshed still being at it.

Lokking at the VC shot, I can't wait for them doing more native airplanes. :ernae:

This isn't the next version, that was an AEW aircraft project that didn't make it. The old MR2 is an anti-submarine and reconnaissance aircraft to be replaced with the MRA4 http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/BAE-Systems-Nimrod/1082185/L/&sid=37794c21ad11e20e8c9e03049ef46aae

Would be great if they could update the Gnat to FSX native too. :)

Sometimes ugly is beautiful in its own way. I cite the Antonov An2 in this category as well as the Nimrod.

Yep, I'll second that KD. . .always liked the Gnat, but it does need an upgrade for sure.:salute:

FSX GNAT how were talking gents! I find parts of my girlfriend less attractive than the Nimrod, you have to see one in the flesh doing a 90 degree wingover bank before you want one! It's trully amazing!

Agree. This is a piece of British History that has evolved, I'm glad to see it albeit somewhat modified getting a new lease of life. The Comet lives on !

Would be sweet alright...one of my earliest memories is seeing the Red Arrows when they still flew the Gnat in the mid to late 70's.

Looking good to me. Will be sure to snap this one up.

Such a shame to see the MR2 go, though. The MRA4 just isn't the same. Cleaner, quieter, less graceful. Everything a Nimrod shouldn't be!

Great to see Simshed picking up on the Nimrod for FSX - definitely a hangar waiting here when she's released. Does anyone know if it'll be payware?

Almost definitely Freeware. It'll be too good to give away but the hassle of e-commerce and anti-piracy means she will be available for FREE.
